If there was a Sonic the Hedgehog movie, it should be made like Roger Rabbit.  Sonic and his friends can be animated and the villains can be played by real people. Here's who I pictured could play who, and I'm using the Sonic Saturday morning characters for this because it's the only Sonic I'm familiar with:

Sonic.........voice of Brad Pitt
Sally.........voice of Angelina Jolie (she played Lara Croft!)
Knuckles......voice of George Clooney
Tails.........voice of Jake Gylenhaal
Bunnie........voice of Gwenyth Paltrow
Rotor.........voice of Matthew Broderick
Antoine.......voice of Dustin Hoffman

The villains:

Robotnik......Jack Black or Michael Chiklis (either of those two would be perfect for Robotnik)
Naugus........Russell Crowe
Snively.......Zach Braff

Well....I suppose they couldn't make the existing Sonic the Hedgehog voice acting any worse.

But seriously, what the hell son.

But seriously, pimping out celebrities like this for no reason is just the stupidest thing I've ever seen. Whatever happened to hiring a voice actor because they were suitable for the role and not just for star-factor? Saying that, I think Billy West would be a good Sonic, he has that certain upbeat teenage-y quality in his normal voice anyway. But, yeah, I'd kill myself if you were ever put in charge of casting anything. And what's with bumping this thread for that?

I hate you, Kurt.  God almighty, man, do you know what Billy West would do to you if he read that post?  Probably nothing.  But Trey Parker and Matt Stone are immature enough that they'd probably track you down and kick your ass for promoting Hollywood actors like that.

Anyway, uh...Metal Gear Solid movie?  Any interest there, guys?  I believe preliminary talks are going around, but I haven't heard anything solid other than that Uwe Boll is definitely not directing it.

And if Kurt Russell doesn't at least get a cameo, I'm going to be hella pissed.

I love Metal Gear Solid, but a movie should never be made, in any circumstances.  The story is great, but it's great within the context of the video game format.  The structure is too video-gamey, and too much of the humor and the unbelievable twists and turns could really only work within the context of the game.  That said, a movie could work, but it just seems like it would be too difficult to pull off correctly, and especcially in Hollywood, I can't see anyone being able to put just the right touch on it.  Even if they could find someone, their efforts would almost certainly be compromised too much by idiot executives that don't get it (wow does that sound familiar).  I could easily imagine it losing too much of the humor that makes the ridiculousness easier to swallow.

And Beamer, that's an interesting idea....Billy West as Sonic.  He'd certainly have to be better than the guy who does him in the current games.

I'm just hoping they don't stuff Halo the movie up. They have the potential to make it excellent, but the way they are going, it might just be overdone.

I enjoyed the Silent Hill movie.  It was actually fairly well done.  And it was gory, and there were some parts that almost just about scared me.  Which is difficult for a horror movie to do in the first place.  I also think, he fit decently well with the games themselves; sure, it wasn't the exact same as the videogames, but I assume some artistic liberty can be taken when switching to new mediums.  Especially, considering the plot needed to be changed a little bit at least to fit it well as a motion picture.
