Robot Hall of Fame
The Robot Hall of Fame was established in 2003 by the School of Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States. It is designed to honor both achievements in robotics technology and robots from science fiction that have served as creative inspiration in robotics. The first induction ceremony was held at the Carnegie Science Center in Pittsburgh on November 10, 2003.

Mars Pathfinder Sojourner Rover - explored Mars in 1997
R2-D2 - fictional robot from Star Wars
Unimate - the first industrial robot, who worked on a General Motors assembly line in 1961
2004

ASIMO - a humanoid robot created by Honda
Astro Boy - fictional
C-3PO - fictional robot from Star Wars
Robby the Robot - fictional robot from Forbidden Planet
Shakey the Robot - the first mobile robot to be able to reason its own actions

It's not like he must win. From previous inductions, you can see that more than one robot made it in. Even if Bender doesn't beat Optimus, which was one of my childhood heroes, Bender could still make the hall.

My brother found that site ages ago, he found the link a TF site, cant remember who he voted for (wasnt Bender)

I have just voted for both optimus and bender as well as suggesting Mega Man be added to the ballot, may the best robot win, and trust me, the robots take vote or die very seriously
