What... the hell?
What the hell is in your history and geography books these days Britain?
There's Northern Ireland (which unfortunately Britian managed to keep) and The Republic of Ireland (Éire) which became independent from British rule in 1922, long fucking overdue too.

Father Ted is set in Ireland but it was made by channel 4 which is British.

I have my GCSE History book I never returned from school, It mentions the 1922 Uprising and everything. Hookie is just being her usual silly self. Now, lets hug. No groping.

Also, I think I voted in this one? I can't remember? I love them all equally!

Sorry Fazey. I'm amazed how I even got A* at GCSE.  :(
In fact, we didnt even do about Ireland. It was all about the Cold War, the World Wars, Appeasment, and some other random stuff that was nothing to do with the UK.

1916 Rising Nurdy, the political side of things didn't come into effect until 1922... and there was much rejoicing.

I only glanced, But I more or less confirmed it.

Hurray, I'm useful. Shame Kenney Everett isn't in the poll. Watching his stuff on YouTube.

I just want to let you know that I don't hate the Irish because I'm part Irish, Scottish, Welsh, Manx (from the Isle of Man) and English; therefore I am British.
