The last two episodes of Speaking in Tongues haven't been too bad. Granted, about 25% of the show is still Safran attacking Father Bob and Father Bob dismissing everything Safran says, but they're spending more time on the segments now, and there has been some pretty interesting stuff on lately... still no competition for John Safran vs God (or even Music Jamboree, for that matter), but it has improved since the first episode, at least.

On a side note, Arrested Development is now also on Sundays at 11:35pm... while that slot fucking sucks, at least it's on twice a week now. Hopefully we can get through all of Season 2 (and get that DVD out, too) before it gets taken off again for "ratings period."

You probably scan the Arrested Developments thread like my penis scans a men's bath-house, but I watched the Monday one and had my socks blown off. Next Jan one very lucky Arrested Development DVD is going home with somebody very special (not Big Kev)

EDIT: I fell in love with Daria. You better take that back or I'll drug you and leak blood all over you!

I remember that MTV thingo (my bro was watching it, while I was killing demons on Doom 3)
That host on it was such a f*** head, it was rather annoying to see parts of and hear. As the modern music industry sold out!?! Because it just seemed so lame, the people help make it must be losing IQ points by the minute.

And RS 2thou - no shit, the music industry "sold out" the instant MTV became popular. That's when modern music became 99%
focussed on image and only 1% focussed on the actual music.

The situation calls for a Scrubs quote.
"Hey, how come he's allowed to call you Smelliot, and I'm not allowed to call you Vagina Face?"

Not exactly "New" Family Guy - they're apparentally showing the banned episode from Season 2, When You Wish Upon a Weinstein... it's been available on DVD here for well over a year now.

Still, at least there's SOMETHING decent on Thursdays now.   :)

Hmm, I was once a big Asterix fan, I guess I still am in a way (I'm talking about the books here though). Is this thing you speak of animated or live action?

The most impressive new show on right now is that Supernatural. Granted, they stole the title from a comic strip I drew when I was 8, but it's great watching and it has some spooky URBAN LEGENDS in it...like me.

Yeah I started watching Supernatural when it started, big fan of horror and sc-fi kind of things.

I'm glad 7 is getting back to its "normal" state show now that all that shitty Tennis is over.

I don't now how much more of hearing of all that grunting I could stand. Every time I change the channel all I hear is "hauehhhhh".
I alll for women moaning but I don't want to hear anything makeing that sound. ; )

Arrested Development comes back on 7 at 11:35pm next Monday - Family Guy and American Dad return this Thursday at 11:00pm. Once again, 7 have banished all their good shows to shitty timeslots.

I didn't watch prison break but from what I saw in the the ads it didn't seem like a show I'd like.

Anyway I was to busy watching my wednesday abc 8.30 - 10.00 line up.
Ab Fab  - last season repeats but still not to bad.
Wild West - good little show. Has the guy that played filch in the HP movies in it and last nights episode was a good one.
Bromwell High - All I can say is "fuck you bitchs", love this show its fucking hilarious. Reminds me of "Ahhhh, its the Mr hell show".
Little Britain - ......... nf said. Hilarious.

i rushed home from my girlfriends house to watch "Destination LOST" where it would reveal all these things from series one. I figured it would be things like, "if you look closely, you can see that the hatch clearly contains some sort of top secret lab" but it was just a crappy recap. I did find it funny that the show wasn't able to get the rights to walts comic book, it was blurred when he was reading it.

I was bored and so watched Prison Break... Amazingly, I actually liked it. I'll definitely watch it next week, which is rare for me with a non-comedy show.

Although Bromwell High sucks and you shouldn't watch it. Can someone please explain to me why it's funny? I saw two episodes and didn't laugh once.

I can't wait till ABC go back to the usual wednesday night lineup (Spicks & Specks, Glass House, some sort of british comedy series etc).
I'd also love it if they played the old Lano & Woodley series again, I miss that show.

I feel sorry for you if you don't get Bromwell high, I'd explain why I find it funny but I don't even know that.
All I know is that my brother and my mum both watch the show and enjoy it alot, and we don't usually go for crass humor.

Anyway its better then that "ronny johns comedy show" on ten. I know some people here like that tripe. Why can't people do good classic comedy like "fastforword"  and the such, know that was a skit show.

What's to get? It's not like the show is incredibly smart or even has a good satirical edge, I don't see how someone couldn't "get" the jokes - but they're just not funny. Simple as that.

On an unrelated note, Arrested Development Season 2 comes out on DVD here March 15!

Woah, page 4!!!

Hate to bump it for this reason, buuuuut, What do you rekon the WORLD FIRST!!111 for Big Brother will be? an obscure amount of house mates? lots of pets? no clothes EVER?

I rekon the you vote counts in more ways then one thing could possibly mean your involvment in the show, maybe as far as you being an intruder?

I think that nobody gives a shit, and I hope the world first is that the entire series is done in one day.

There are so many better reasons you could've bumped this thread... the fact that we have two decent Aussie comedies on at the moment (Thank God You're Here and The Chaser's War on Everything), the fact that Arrested Development's third season starts next Monday on Channel 7 at 12:00am... but noooo. You had to bump it for Big fucking Brother. Shame on you, Chay!

LIVE, THREAD, LIVE!!!

Over a month without a post again. We're all going to hell...

So, the first season of Thank God You're Here is almost over already. Typical, as soon as I like a show, it gets taken away from me. It should be coming back though, apparentally it was getting good ratings, and they're exporting the format to other countries now. w00g, we've created a monster!  :D

As expected, that The Wedge show was complete and utter shit. I turned it off after one minute... Scrubs has started its fifth season a few weeks ago, we're almost half-way through Arrested Development's third season, and American Dad and Family Guy are nearing the end of their seasons too. Luckily, My Name is Earl is coming to Channel 7 soon, so this shouldn't be the end of ze good American comedy.

SBS are showing Season 5 of South Park yet again for some reason. They've still yet to repeat Seasons 8 and 9! Come on, damnit!!! And they need to show Bloody Mary, too (the "temporarily banned" episode at the end of Season 9, still yet to air here). And what the fuck has happened with Futurama and new Simpsons episodes?

I recently saw M0le's penis, too. It was a good day.  :)
