Braniac is about as scientific as a dead hobo, only less entertaining. Speaking in Tongues was decent, though. Not quite sure if John Safran makes a good host of a show like this, I think he was better suited to the more comedic-style shows he was doing before. I can't see many opportunities in this show for him to dress up like Ozzy Osbourne and run around waving crosses at people and singing backwards songs... Still, it was interesting at times, and definitely had its moments - I think we should give the show a few weeks to find its feet first. Like Chay's Head said though, some parts felt forced and rehearshed, and they definitely didn't spend enough time on some issues. It does have potential though, but I don't see it having much of a future... at least not in the slot right after South Park, anyway. Still, I'll definitely watch it again next week.

I didn't really like Speaking in Tounges either. Didn't have a natural flow, and seemed like an invalid excuse to get Safran back on telly. What works on radio does not always translate to television. hot big breasted british women. Although most of them look really dirty and like they have been pulled off poles and shoved on the show. "Freshen ya drink guv'nah?" Urgh. Brainiac sucks. Watch Mythbusters, and keep some brain cells intact.

God, I am SO pissed off. Channel 7 completely butchered the Arrested Development season one finale. It was all going fine, then after the second commercial break, it came in back to act three - already one minute in progress. Which means people missed the first scene in the act, which was CRUCIAL to the rest of the episode (it opens with George Sr. taking the polygraph test and suffering a "heart attack" half-way through, and the rest of the act takes place in the hospital). It came in about 20 seconds into the scene AFTER that, which also missed a great Buster line and an important change in Lindsay's attitude towards Tobias which comes into play at the start of Season 2. The whole thing left the entire rest of the episode making completely NO sense whatsoever. ARGARHHHHH!!! They didn't even have a reason to cut it, either. Channel 7 wasn't running late at the time - in fact, they were running about 6 minutes early. When I find the Channel 7 editor who was responsible for that, I'm going to shove firerockets up their ass, light them, run like hell, then come back to the editor after the explosion and stab them in the stomach. EDIT: And now I've just discovered that AD's not on the schedule next week. GOD DAMN IT!!! We're NEVER going to get to Season 2!!!

It was listed for 12-fucking-30! It wouldn't make sense at 12:15, since Arrested Development was scheduled for midnight, and they wouldn't give 15 minutes for a 21 minute show.
Either way, I never noticed any changes with Michael's look - but I can't see why you'd say he looks different from the episodes on The Comedy Channel, given that episode IS on The Comedy Channel... It might just be the hair, Jason Bateman (Michael) tends to complain about his hair length thoughout the commentary for that particular episode.

But it WASN'T meant to be on at 11:45. It was scheduled for 12:00am, Scrubs was scheduled for 12:30am. Show me ONE place where it was listed for 12:15am. Even Desperate Housewives was listed for 11:00pm, but was on at 10:55pm-ish (I don't watch the show, I needed to be on Channel 7 to check the TV guide on Telext, where it was also listed at 12:30am).

It's been my avy since very early this year. Originally, I had an alien poacher holding a human nose. I can't remember any others I've had, apart from Blue Zoidberg, though.
And although I can't get a picture of it, AD and Scrubs were listed at 12:00am and 12:30am in my TV guide. But, you can take that guide with a grain of salt since it's often scheduled weeks in advance - the TV guides on Teletext and YourTV are up-to-date since they can be changed around quite easily, and BOTH of them listed the same times, too.

I posted this in General, but I'll do it here again anyway just incase you missed it: Futurama starts on Channel Ten, Wednesday November 30 at 8:00pm. The week after that, it's on both Wednesdays and Fridays, same time. Also, new Family Guy starts on Channel 7 at 8:00pm on Sunday, December 4 (with the fourth episode of Season 4, Don't Make Me Over, for some reason). Not sure if they're both nation-wide, though. The only episodes from Family Guy's first two seasons shown in Perth were I Never Met the Dead Man and Death Has a Shadow - and I've still yet to see any commercials for Futurama here yet... Although I'll admit I haven't been watching Channel Ten much lately, I was still switching over during commercial breaks just to see if I could find the commercial... I saw the same fucking Smallville ad five times, and not one for Futurama.

Thank god Rove is over for the year. Been looking forward to the ratings free part of the year, huh? Enjoy watching "Happy Sparkle Bunny and Friends Meet Santa Claus And Save Bunny-Christmas". I posted this in General, but I'll do it here again anyway just incase you missed it: Futurama starts on Channel Ten, Wednesday November 30 at 8:00pm. I saw the "Coming soon" ads, but that was it. If it doesn't get pushed back again, this could be really good. It's actually on at the time that it was meant to air. I've already started threatening people to start watching this time around. Getting back in the post a bit, Brainiac is OK, but really stupid at the same time. The stuff about Thermite and the microwave segment are pretty cool for example, but most of it is just filler, and usually isn't really funny or interesting. Still, I watch it, but it never grabbed me like Mythbusters did. Mythbusters > All.

Indeed. I don't know how I do it, but I always get stuck watching it every time it's on. Then I realise I have better things to do with my time - and do that instead. STUPID show. Especially for being british and all, you'd think it'd be funnier?

ARRAGHHHH!!! I just checked YourTV.com.au, and Family Guy isn't airing in Perth! It is in other states, but not here! WHAT THE HELL? They did the same damn thing with the first 2 seasons - we only got the first 2 episodes of Season 1, then it was taken off. Other states managed to get about half-way through Season 2, and we got nothing. We both got Season 3 in the middle of the afternoon, but it looks like prime-time Family Guy's never gonna happen here... God, I hate you, Channel 7.
