Sadly Nix, the Prequal boom still dominates the market but will slowly subside after they release Episode III on DVD.

We may get one in 2006 though, I'd love to see a lovely smooth modern X-Wing Verses TIE Fighter update. Imagine, space dogfights with hundreds of fighters.

OT spawns the best games.

You push the head down and it lights up.

You can also get Anakin + Obi-Wan from ep III, Luminari, and Mace Windu

Outcast.
They fiddled too much with the saber combat in Academy, and it just didn't feel right to me...  :hmpf:
Sure you get dual sabers or the saber staff, but those darn students can only seem to swing it back and forth, there's no style. Also, a crappy storyline.

Now enter Nix, and he'll say something about "Dark Forces", like he always does.

Or Zed.  :p

Dark Forces II: Jedi Knight.

There, I beat them to it.  Although the saber fights in SWT Arcade are great too.

I agree that most of the weapons were useless in JK:Academy, after all, who needs guns when you have a lightsaber or two?

But to me Academy is slightly better than Oucast.

Besides, Outcast had no Rancor(s)...or Boba Fett.  :p

I know, if only they had kept the same saber combat system in Academy, it would have been perfect.
And I like the blue Force effects in Outcast too, and you have to admit, playing as Katarn beats whatever mutant Jedi character you can create in Academy.

He could probably Force Grip a Rancor!  :p

I prefer the saber combat in Academy actually. In some ways Academy is more fun, as it isn't quite so morbid as Outcast. Send the adventurous Miss Jaden off with Lightsaber (natch), Blaster Pistol, Bowcaster, E-11 and 'nades, and Level 3 Force Lightning as pratically the first force power developed...endless fun  :D
I love taking head-shots with the bowcaster
And then walking into a control room and just obliterating all inside in a lovely little light show...
J'adore

Sadly, I think both the level design and the AI both backpeddled from Outcast to Acedemy - oh and I still refuse to believe Academy as being anything more than Mysteries of the Sith for Dark Forces II. Pity that arguement didn't lower the amount of money I paid for it...

There ain't no lightsabers in Dark Forces  :p
Much as I love Dark Forces II (or Jedi Knight if you will) compared to Academy and Outcast, it's just random swish, swish, swish...pause...enemy death scream. But both Jedi Knight and MotS probably have my favourite level design of the series - and Dark Forces' are close behind as well.  :)

I do remember that for a long while we waited for Dark Forces III (I use that term because it was the term PC Gamer gave to the rumours that they were working on a Jedi Knight game - "OMG, Dark Forces III!!!" basically) but that turned out to be Episode One - Obi-Wan (anyone remember that...?) after that I don't think anyone thought LucasArts would touch another Dark Forces or even another OT game again. Well, on that alone, there may be a good chance of another X-Wing after all  :)

JKA spawned some lovely flexible mods though. Mmmm. Mods.

I'm also sad to say that the Galactic Conquest Mod will be dead soon. I had much fun in that Mod.

I love the X-Wing myself, and I too hope to see something if that knida of design in a future game. Battlefront is addicting, but you can tell there are a few flaws; hoping to get the second one when it comes out. As for the movie, if we had more advanced technology, it would've been even more amazing. The technology is the only thing holding Lucas off from making more. But, I'd also love to see a spaceship fighting game. I've often thought Futurama could get away with it like they did in Brannigan Begins Again (I think that's what it is)

My brothers are towards me (even the younger one). I get them whenever I get the chance.

Anyway, you're not beating the child, they should defend themselves, with another lightsaber. Then you have a huge fight in the lava. Then you get your legs cut off, and get deformed.

Well, if falling from a very tall building into an endless chasm while having more electricity being conducted through your body than a tesla coil doesn't kill you, then it must make an interesting experience.

Poor old Mace.

EDIT: Got this off a Star Wars message board:
7) Did Mace Windu survive?

"Dark lightning blasted away his universe. He fell forever."

-Revenge of the Sith(the novel)
Those are the last two sentences of the fight between Mace and Sidious. What do they rationaly mean?

"Dark lightning blasted away his universe." = Mace Windu is killed by Sith lightning.

"He fell forever." = Mace's body falls out the window, into the endless depths of coruscant

The following is from the ROTS Script:

"Just as MACE is about to slash PALPATINE, ANAKIN steps in and cuts off the Jedi's hand holding the lightsaber.

As MACE stares at ANAKIN in shock, PALPATINE springs to life.
The full force of Palpatine's powerful Bolts blasts MACE. He attempts to deflect them with his one good hand, but the force is too great. As blue rays engulf his body, he is flung out the window and falls twenty stories to his death."

*Update* - Mace Windu's databank at starwars.com has recently been updated to further prove he died:

"Defenseless, Windu was bombarded with Sith lightning as Sidious unleashed a torrent of deadly energy at the Jedi Master. The forked bolts of lightning penetrated Mace's body, illuminating his form from within. The final blast bodily lifted him into the air, sending his form hurling into the Coruscant skies, to crash lifelessly somewhere in the vast cityscape below."

Conclusion: Mace Windu died in ep III

Though honestly, I always thought Anakin was going to kill Mace.

Quite clearly someone behind Maul is putting their pony tails over his shoulders... just to prove my otherwise sound statement, wrong.

Mace may have died, but Samuel L. lives on, and that's all that matters.
