I doubt it. I rather believe that the Helen Locke spoke with by phone was another person.

It was a different person. There was an interview with one of the creators/writers, and they cleared that up. They also said there probably won't be a movie, and if there was they wouldn't know where to start.

As for time-traveling radio waves, I don't believe it.  Maybe the IoM is home to a bunch of bootleg radio stations.  The hatch is the "obscure, 60s-esque rock"-format station, the others' side is the "big band top 40" station, and the transmitter with the numbers is the "all repetitious talk radio, all the time" station.  And maybe the button has to be pressed every 108 minutes or the XM sattelite carrying the Howard Stern show will go into meltdown, clogging up the airwaves with vulgar, senseless crap...I mean "more vulgar and senseless crap."

Oh, and speaking of obscure 60s-esque rock bands: Geronimo Jackson..  Another ABC plant or a fan-produced red-herring?  Either way, founded on UM's campus is right in line with what we know about the Dharma Initiative origins.  I wonder who's in that photo...

And that picture is weird looking, wouldn't be surprised if it's Sayid, Jack and Clare just dressed up!  :p

Yo Doc, when you finally manage to get the official podcast, you'll hear Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse confirm the link. In fact, the link works thusly:

1. Hurley's boss at Mr Cluck's Chicken Shack was an asshole named Randy (no relation to the lovely Randy in my Avy).
2. Hurley's 'curse' caused Mr Cluck's to be hit by a meteorite.
3. Hurley felt guilty about losing Randy his job, so he got him a job at a box company he owned.
4. Randy therefore also became Locke's boss at the box company, and perhaps an even bigger asshole than before because he had total job security.

Cool, no?

And that's all I'm going to say about it.  :p

Is this going to be the one they were promo-ing last week where they capture an Other and Sayid's all, "I am a torturer, etcetera"?  I'm guessing it'll be his flashbacks since we haven't really seen any of his for a while.  Maybe they'll give us the old switcheroo and slip in some Tailie flashback action.

This is a Sayid flashback ep. Do't know about the tailie part.

I'm interested to see what's up with Libby.

From TV.com, it's going to be a Sayid flashback episode, although the Main Survivors will return to where the Taillies crashed.

And, also from TV.com, which I hope isn't true, but apparently this is going to be the last new episode of Lost until March 1. WTF? Is ABC trying to kill all momentum for this show?

I can't wait for the ep later tonight but am I the only one that thought that the last ep wasn't the best...at all? I mean Sawyer has to go to sleep sometime and so does Charlie. Plus there's like 40 people and then two of them. I mean with enough abuse and torture anyone would be ready to tell you what you need to know.

Sawyer said he would die before telling the location of the guns. Plus I don't think he thought that far ahead, he was just really desperate to be the most hated again. Plus, only Sawyer and Charlie know that Charlie was involved.

That should be interesting (about returning to where the tailies "landed" ), I'm also interested in the timer thing (if you saw last weeks preview for tonight's ep then you know what I'm talking about). I just hope it's not a dream like when Jin was talking english.

Yes, yes they are. But that's not a long time, it's only 2 weeks. After tomorrows episode, Smallville will be off until April. I feel like kicking someone in the face.

But at least I'll have Prison Break back soon.

Thanks, VF.  I appreciate the offer, but I will learn to formulate crackpot theories without the podacsts.  Observe:

I thought he said University of Minnesota, but the Universities of Michigan and Minnesota are connected by "the little brown jug," considered the oldest trophy in Division 1A college football.   If the guy did say he was from the University of Minnesota, the implications are clear.  The Others, who we all know are Wolverine fans, were angry that the Gophers took back the fabled earthenware jug this year and crashed his balloon out of spite.  The timeline is right.  If they crashed about four months ago, it would've happened in October--about the same time Minnesota beat Michigan.  I think we're beyond coincidence here, people.  Consider this IoM mystery debunked.

I'm sure we'll come to find that the other people the Others captured or killed were Ohio State fans.  The pilot probably played football for the Buckeyes or something.  He got mangled up something fierce.

-I believe "Lost" is off next week because "American Idol" is 2 fucking hours long. Either that, or ABC is trying to stretch out the season. But I don't think they will pull a 'FOX' on us. (At least I hope not.)
-Also, my friend said he heard metal scraping when the timer went out. He suggested that the bunker is actually a missile silo or control room. He cited the metal, then symbols on the timer (after it hit 0) as reference.
-What do you guys think? I personally think that it's not that bad a theory.

That reminds me, did anyone catch the heiroglyphics that popped up on the orange cards?  I remember a bird or something, but beyond that is a blur.

Check that question, I went back and slo-moed the tape.  From left to right, the symbols were (orange on black background) "folded cloth," a blank, a symbol that looked like a combination of "mouth" and "garden pool," and (black on orange) "Egyptian vulture," and some sort of crutch or divining rod pointing to the top left corner.  Pronunciations of heiroglyphs seems to be a matter of interpretation.

Didn't the captive say his last name was "Gale" and he came there in a balloon? Isn't that a lot like Wizard of Oz? Gale was Dorothy's last name and she was going to "escape" Oz in a balloon.

I bet they have NetFlix on the Others' side of the island!

-Someone I know said that it was the sound of metal moving. (Hence the blast door sound.) He said it sounded something like a missile going off or something.
-Also, I was informed today that the video (or was it a picture?) that Sayid was shown had Kate in it. (A woman was there, correct?) At first I thought it was the woman Sayid loved from Season 1. But this whole Kate thing throws me off.
-So, the Smoke Monster was in Iraq? Does anyone have a screen capture of this? (And the woman Sayid supposedly saw?)
-And the symbols on the timer read CAUSE TO DIE? How do you know? (I'm not saying you're wrong, I'm just curious as to how the information came to be.)

Hieroglyphics dictionaries, apparently. They have a book for everything these days! The other day, I saw one about berries. Crazy!

The commander dude who was looking at the picture of Kate was her step-father Sam Austin (not her biological father, Wayne, who she blewded up). He was also the one who was dealing with Sayid early on.

That means I was joking, I was referring to the smoke (ordinary burning kind) in the scenes in Iraq.
