Great, now I have to go back and watch the pilot frame by frame. What kind of mysterious show of intrigue is this where I have to spend my time searching for clues on a DVD?

Gocad: Not debris! *slaps sense into you* Makes me wonder does it appear in the scene where you see the tail section fall into the water offshore... DrT: Mwaha, watch me do it: *goes to his D: drive and opens Lost\Pilot.avi* Wow, so easy! I'm beginning to wonder about the convenience of DVDs, especially when you have lots of them to change around.

Could be a tank top. There were a lot of garments flying around that scene.

About the smoke monster. It met Locke and Eko, and it let them both live. Perhaps it wants to keep the ones that are pure of heart.

Yeah, that part I remember. Thanks for the clarification. I can't wait for tomorrow's episode. I also can't find any "Lost" shirts. The ABC website has some, but don't have sizes that will accommodate fat people. Their largest size is L (large). What the fuck? They got a fat guy on the show (Hurley) and they don't even have an XL (extra large) or even a XXL (extra extra large)? Discrimination! But in either case, I got a respectable shirt from cafepress.com. Not as good as an official one, but still good nonetheless. ^Like I said, not all fancy, but still pretty good. (At least for me.)

But would Hurley wear a shirt like that? I think not!

This episode was cool, but for some reason it wasn't as good as it usually is. Score: 8.2/10 Non-Spoiler Comments: Sawyer had some good lines, and the flashbacks with Jack also (as flashbacks usually do) made the current events tie in nicely. SPOILER COMMENTS: -Loved Sawyer's Mr. Clean comments. Also loved the "That's my favorite leaf" line. He is definetely my favorite character. I hope he gets another episode soon, because the other characters got many as well.
-I really didn't like the fact the Locke kept calling Sawyer by his real name. (lol, mostly beacuse of the fact that I'm used to him being called Sawyer.)
-As soon as I saw Jack's wife "go to the gym", I knew she was cheating on him. I really didn't think that relationship would last anyway.
-I seriously hope that Walt isn't used as some kind of "supernatural" weapon or whatever. If anything like that happens, the show will go down in quality for me. (Maybe not for other people, but for me definately.)
-An army? Yeah, we'll see how that works out.
-Finally, *"this side of the line is our turf"? What the fuck? It's a goddamned island. But there is the "freaky" aspect of it, but still.
*=I paraphrased that quotation. -Next week's episode looks cool, but for some reason I feel that it will be of the same quality as this week's episode, if not a bit worse. I just hope I am wrong in that.

Remember there was a six week dryspell. My guess on the next appearance of Desmond or Rousseau: Rousseau will appear and attempt to eat Claire's baby. She's French, after all. Nice work, Kate. Never trust a father-murdering, jurisdiction-hopping, toy airplane-seeking woman to do a platoon of Army Rangers' job. If she learned anything from the season opener it should've been "never become a human shield for a gun-wielding, unshaven, island dweller."
Okay, Zeke is pissing me off. Not only is his hygiene seriously lacking, his "house" metaphor is fundamentally flawed. If I were Jack, I'd be all, "Yeah, but if a guest did that in my house, I'd show him the way out, not kidnap his buddies and sink his boat." I might also tack "Biotch!" to the end of that statement just to throw him off guard.
Ah ha! So that's where Jack's wife went: Philanderville (or possibly Philandelphia). Of course it might turn out that she does die some time before the divorce, making Jack a sad and moody widower instead of a bitter and (for lack of better word) pissy-faced divorcé.
Hurley and Libby? Sexy. Of course, in the previews for next week he asks her if he knows her from somewhere. Wouldn't it be a huge coincidence if she was a psychologist from the mental hospital Hurley had checked into? It'd be a huge coincidence anywhere else but the Island of Mystery. On the IoM, it's pretty standard fare. After all, Hurley owns Locke's box company in Tustin. Biotch!
Once again, Vincent appears in an episode where evil befalls someone. Is anyone else seeing the connection? See, if JJ Abrams wanted it to be obvious, Vincent would've been a cat (inherently evil) or just given Vincent shifty eyes (implicitly evil), but he's playing that close to the vest.

ok, i saw the first few episodes of 'Lost' when it premiered, now I just saw the newest 2. anyone care to do a paragraoh summary of season 1, or is that just a stupid question? why was that guy (the one who kinda looks like seann william scott) raising that other girl's baby? and how did the hot asian dude and the rest (minus the boy) get back to the island from that raft? and how was michael's (i think that's his name) son communicating with him via the computer, and why were the people objecting to him leaving to search for his son, other than he could bring back murderous warlords and overtake the rest of the people who survived the crash or some nonsense...

Answers: 1. Yes. Stupid question. 2. Charlie (or "Chahley" if you're Australian) has issues with wanting to take care of people. He's taken quite a fancy to Claire (the baby's mother) and has been playing dad since Aaron (the baby) was born. After all, if you pretend you're a baby's dad, you're, in effect, pretending you've slep with the baby's mom. 3. The backstroke. 4. First part: at this point, we assume magic. Second part: he's heading straight into Othersburgh by way of Smokemonsterville.

It's increasingly likely that the Black Smoke is the "security system" Rosseau mentioned midway through season 1. We can guess that it's what killed the pilot as well as ripped down the trees in the first episode. What *exactly* it is, we don't know yet. Jin, the Korean guy, wanted to go help the hunting party find Michael. Even though the two hated each other early in the show, eventually they formed an odd type of friendship. Jin was just looking out for his friend. His wife, Sun, told Jin not to go with the party, because she feared losing him again. He agreed. Originally posted by DrThunder88:

Perhaps you should check out Late Night With Conan O'Brien and the character of the "evil puppy." I believe that dog grows up to be Vincent. BTW, is that Other actually called "Zeke"? What a stupid inbred name for an island primitive. Although it may be short for Ezekial, which is yet another religious reference in the show.

I liked last nights ep, what with giving the boat guy some more airtime. Scenes from the next episode!: Charlie goes crazy and sets Claires baby out to sea in a basket!!!

Originally posted by VelourFog: According to the Lost episode recaps on MSNBC's website, that's just Sawyer's clever nickname for the character otherwise known as the "Sea Captain". I hope his actual name really turns out to be Sea Captain, or maybe C. Captain. tee hee. Oh great, now the island is going to fill up with other minor Simpsons characters: Bumblebee Man, Squeaky-voiced teen, Comic book store guy, etc. We'll know the show's in trouble if this season ends with "Who Shot Mr. Eko?" and it ends up being Aaron. VF, are you undressing me with your mind?

They are real framegrabs. I don't know what's been done with them. They are definetly not photoshopped or anything.

Just had a frame-by-frame look myself, there's definately something there. That house analogy Zeke had was totally bogus, where does their plane crashing into their house and them not wanting to be in the house in the first place, fit in!? Stupid Zeke! Get a haircut! You suck! Wash your puss!
It will be interesting to see where they go with this army business.
Also, stupid Sarah, Jack should have let her die or be a vegatable or whatever! He should have a "Undo-surgery remote control" that kerplodes her spine! Mwahaha.

The island is actually the secret hideout of Adolf Hitler and his followers and the Others are all Nazis...in disguise! Either that or the show's armorer or somebody else thought that it would be a nice idea. Who knows? Given the fact that they don't seem to care about continuity when it comes to guns on the show, I wouldn't think too much about this. Seriously.
