Slackage: Walt also said to Michael "No, we have to leave" or something like that, just after he told him he was the one who set fire to the first raft, remember?
Did anyone notice, when Mike and Sawyer were adrift on the pontoon in the morning, in the top left of the screen on the horizon, you could vaguely make out a shape of a boat with a mast? Either it's a goof or someone was sailing not too far from the island. Also, how the hell did Mike not see the damn island?! He couldn't have had his head in his hands all night and sunrise!!
Yay! Jin survives! And those damn numbers appeared again.

Faze! What if walt knew he was going to be taken? That he was "the kid" and not the baby, so he was scaraficing himself to leave, so people on the island could chill out and not worry about a missing kid!
Also, the 108. Watching it, it was moving too fast to be counting down days, and I would think hours then, but from what I remember, it was at 2:45(last two numbers I dont remember) and it was reset to 108:.. To me, thats signifying minutes. Remember, he also did it right we he woke up the first time we saw him. Edit: Through conversation with Chay, I decided to look up the apollo candy that kate ate. Its real. Discontinued, but real. I wouldnt expect this from any other show, but if we could find when it was discontinued - we might have a better idea of how long desmond was under there. Jeremiah Zachariah Jebediah: If I remember correctly, the guns I heard mentioned on the show were at least five Glocks and one Sig (Sig 9?) Standard 9mm Glocks hold 17 rounds. Sigs hold less than Glocks though, the standard ones are smaller. I looked at the Adrift episode again and Sawyer looks like he has a Beretta, which usually holds 15-17 rounds too. Some real gun nuts can jump in here any time. Chay: They're selling t-shirts with that logo and the numbers printed on the back on some website. Dharma is mainly a Buddhist thing, meaning "protection", or "middle path", a way of life that's not too good, not too bad type of thing. The swan kinda looks like Yin and Yang, but other than that I've no idea what the feck it means. The octagon with the dashes around the edge is more asian philosophy stuff.

Wow, read this i think the bit about how the shark's symbol is slightly different, may have been read to deeply, i think it may just be that it was only on screen for about a second, so they didn't use as much detail this time EDIT: OOOH! Cause this is to do with religion and the like, could the reason Locke took his shoes of, be because he could sense/saw something that suggested that this was a holy place? you know, where you have to take your shoes off to enter?

There was a logo on the freaking shark? This is why I shouldn't watch TV while I'm at work. Not because I might miss stuff related to work, but because I miss stuff that happens on TV.
That reminds me, as I was watching four straight episodes from my newly acquired "Lost" DVDs, I have to ask: is the girl in Jack's flashback from the season 2 premier the same girl he tells Kate about in the season 1 premier? If memory serves, the ages may have been different, and if that's the case, Jack seems to have good luck when it comes to surgeries gone wrong on women.
And about the Desmond theories: I once saw part of a Twilight Zone or somesuch where a soldier was placed in a deep, subterranian bunker because the Earth was under attack from aliens or something. If the humans won, he would be released and everything would be hunky-dory. If the humans were being overrun, this soldier's job was to trigger a super weapon that would destroy the aliens and most of the humans on the planet. There was also a firebreak system that if the bunker were somehow breached and the soldier was unable to enter a code into the computer, the weapon would detonate. Anyway, not totally relevant but there are a few visible parallels.

Some real gun nuts can jump in here any time. Yee-haw! Fazey, what's a Sig 9? Is it something like a Glock 7? Seriously, I wouldn't bother counting how many rounds were fired, because if there is something the producers don't care about then it is continuity issues regarding firearms. As I mentioned on the previous page of this thread, they already had problems keeping a SigPRO from a classic Sig apart. Example: - Pilot, part 2 Sawyer shoots the polar bear with the Marshall's gun. The close up shows clearly that it's a Sig PRO. - Homecoming Sawyer pulls out the Marshall's gun again, but this time it's a Sig226. Besides, Kate said that all pistols in the briefcase were 9mm guns, yet Jack's gun that was then picked up by Charlie looked more like a Sig 232, which doesn't use 9mm rounds...

Meh. That's much more fun...What's interesting is that Oceanic Airlines did appear in other movies and TV series as well. One could say it's Hollywood's favorite disaster airline. Not anymore, I guess.

Sawyer is a sneaky bastard. He probably fell of the raft, climbed back on, stole the gun, dove back into the water, punched the shark in the nads, and stole its lunch money.
Oh and I got to thinking about the "DHARMA" logo. Those hashmarks between the swan and the octagon look a lot like I Ching notations if you disregard the swan. I can't imagine that's a coincidence. The "Images" I understand from looking at it are "At the foot of the mountain, the lake", "The lake has risen up to heaven", "Fire over water", and "Within the earth, a mountain." Of course, I can't be sure which direction they're supposed to be read. The backwards 'R' (and maybe 'M' and 'A' as well) doesn't help.

Faze! be carefull with the torrents, they all have fucked up sync, there are a few fixer thingies, but its still not prefect. okay, here goes Amy, i don't see why the "I MARRIED HER!" line made you shout...i think i missed the significance, didn't we already know that? Also, i knew that she was bad! Even though amy said you won't like her, i sorta picked up on it. Stupid hurley!!! and Jin...hmm, its so confusing, seriously go to www.oceanicflight815.com click the barcode and type "theislandiswaiting" for a funny fake script of ep 6. Also, i can't remember, but was "Swan" the 3rd colony? if so, the video was 3 of 6, so are there 5 others? Seriously, the guy who plays locke is an amazing actor.

Best. Plot-summary. Ever.OMG OMG!!! The Hanso Foundation. There is a secret video on this site somewhere, go for it! Damaste, which is said by the asian scientist and is mentioned a few times on that link, is a hindu greeting, so that supports all of those hindu connections to the numbers, like the 108 sins etc. EDIT: Some other things, the black guy the "other" could possibly be the black lady from the first seasons hubby, and also, we have seen Ana, or whatever her name was before, she was talking to jack in the airport remember?
