The Gist:

'Grandmaster Freak' pilot is being produced for FOX.

Looks promising or at least very interesting... maybe Fry will get a camio or something  ;)

I hopr that the one who beatboxes will be John Dimmagio. He's the best/only beatboxer I've ever heard.

So finally we get some real information on the next DXC project.  I'm a bit weary about the whole idea, not because of the talent involved, but I wonder how much can be done about 80's era hip-hop.  Here's to the best of luck, though.

You know what the best part of that article is?

They credit DXC as a Futurama co-creator, and don't mention a damned word about The Simpsons.  MTV must have liked the show...

No, it mentions that Cohen was a Simpsons writer.  It just doesn't go into great detail on it because "Futurama" is a bigger credit for Cohen (in the sense that he co-created/developed it and ran it with Groening, as opposed to being merely one of 20-something staff writers like he was on The Simpsons).  If it were another Groening show, it would mention The Simpsons a lot for obvious reasons.  And either way, I frankly wouldn't want to see MTV start praising Futurama anyway....

In any event, interesting idea, though maybe not my "thing".  Nice to see that Fox is still willing to work with Cohen though, and I'll probably check it out to see what I think of it.
