Tim Curry, of course. If the movie includes a villain, it's likely to be Tim Curry. Among other roles, he plays -The alcoholic thug in Oliver Twist... -The man who tries to kill Annie by dropping her from a bridge, in the children's musical "Annie". -the snotty concierge at the Plaza hotel in Home Alone 2 -The smart and evil Cardinal Richelieu in The Three Musketeers -The evil mastermind in Charlie's Angels Yes, and in a bunch of other movies like Hunt on Red October, Scary Movie 2, Rocky Horror Picture Show, Muppet Treasure Island and National Lampoon's Loaded Weapon 1. He looks a little like this: Would have been a good idea, if Geocities allowed remote linking

I have to go with Tommy Lee Jones on this one. I haven't seen him in a film I didn't like except Batman Forever...*shudder*...I...*shudder*...ugh. Anyway, other actors I've been consistently impressed with are Ed Harris, Kevin Spacey, and Sam Neil. I do like Jeff Goldblum, but he seems to rarely play anything but nervous scientist-types. I'm also a sucker for actors with great voices like Sean Connery, James Earl Jones, and (to less of an extent, now that he's become a cliche of himself) Arnold Schwarzeneggar.
Oh yeah, Bill Murray is one of the greatest comedic actors of all times. Groundhog Day, Caddyshack, and Scrooged are classics.

The late Sir Alec Guinness deserves a mention, in every film he seemed a different person, or the the case of "Kind Hearts and Coronets" several different people in the one film.

I'm taking this oppurtunity to drool over Alan Rickman... damn, no drooly smiley... oh well. Point is, he's an incredibly talented actor.
And Tweek is right, Alec Guinness was wonderful; I just watched A Passage to India a few days ago, and he totally stole every scene he was in (meant as a compliment!).
