When I was on vacation last month, my mom ordered The Village in her hotel room. I watched the first hour of the movie and it sucked so bad that I couldn't watch the rest of it. I just went back to my own room and played Pokemon.

Your review just became void because you mentioned Pokemon.

I liked all the movies I saw this year, the ones out of the blue that I enjoyed were Hero, The Bourne Supremecy and Lemony Snickets ASOUE.

*Bows to Nasty Pasty* Oh Dear Lord! Someone agrees with me! I thought I'd be bitched at for the rest of the time for when I posted here. I'm being dramatic and will most likely get rediculed for this too. But thank you Nasty! Someone here also thought the Incredibles sucked.  :D

Best Movies for 2004 that I've seen (In no particular order):
-Incredibles
-Spidy 2
-Shrek 2
-Van Helsing
-Hellboy
-Punisher
Umm, does anyone see a trend???  :laff:

OK Worst movies I've seen this year (Don't flame me please!) :):
-King Arthur (People tell me this was good but I had to turn it off halfway thru cause I was ready to fall asleep it was so boring.  And I normally like the medieval type movies and such.)
-Alexander (I would have walked out of the theatre but my boyfriend's father took us out to the movie and I figured it be impolite.  Damn morals, bah!)
-Napoleon Dynamite (ugh, what can I say but  )Granted I'm a nerd or else I wouldn't be here on this forum, but I just wanted to kick the crap out of that Napoleon guy.  He makes us geeks look bad!

The Incredibles was OK as a movie, and I enjoyed watching it, I'll give it that. The hype surrounding it is what gives it the disappointing mark. There were a few funny moments and characters, like Edna Mode and Mr Incredible's boss when he was an insurance salesman, and the animation was great, but it just wasn't that great.

Seeing as it's at least the best CGI film, and because CGI is the best genre, the transitive property of equality tells me that The Incredibles was the best movie of the year. Me and Gwan have seen it a total of 6 times.

My vote for worst movie: I, Robot. Will Smith is the whitest black person I have ever seen.

I'm surprised about this Incredibles bad mouthing. I didn't think it was perfect either (Syndromes island was a bit wasted on me because I'm not a James Bond fan). It was still an amazing movie, I loved it! And it lived up to it's hype and continued Pixars long line of awesome movies IMO...

That's because you're English. We go to the cinema:p

Films...lets see...films...

Good:
Shaun of the Dead (<3!)
Kill Bill (two, although I should include one as well as I only saw it this year)
Hellboy
Spiderman 2 (even though I haven't seen the first one *gasp*)
The Incredibles - I'm not raving about it, but it was a good movie. I still like Finding Nemo better though.
The Day After Tomorrow - It wasn't great, but I enjoyed it.. *gunshot*

Bad:
Alfie
Garfield
13 going on 30 - I didn't want to see it! It was on a plane! You have to believe me!
Mean Girls

In between:
Shrek 2 - I'm undecided on this. I hated it at first, but after seeing it again, I decided it wasn't that bad. I still wouldn't say I enjoyed it though.
School of Rock
Freaky Friday - it's good if you're high on sweets and want something cheesy to watch.

Films I think I would have liked, but never saw:
Secret Window
Napoleon Dynamite
Finding Neverland
Garden State
Hero
Eternal Sunshine

Films I don't think I would have liked:
King Arthur
The Village
Shark Tale
Troy
I, Robot
Dodgeball
Open Water

Listen, this is the one and only Ben Stiller film that I like and it's not even my favorite movie. Ben Stiller stinks in my book. The only reason why I saw Along Came Polly was for the ferret and Jennifer Aniston. Cut me 15% of slack.

Movies I have seen (best -> worst)
The Incredibles
Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow
Spiderman 2
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azbakistan
The Bourne Supremacy
I, Robot
The Day After Tomorrow

More movies than most years, I think (I'm not much of a theater-goer), and I wouldn't count any as bad. There are lots of movies that came out this year that I would like to see eventually, though. As for bad movies... Wasn't Catwoman out this year?  I seem to remember that one supposedly being a stinker.

edit: added a few movies from earlier in the year that I forgot.

I also saw it on the plane, and what a disappointment it was. I wanted some good chick flick action, and it was boring as hell. I love a good chick flick, like Mean Girls. That was great.

Which reminds me about the new Hilary Duff movie out tomorrow. And I will be seeing it tomorrow too!

I may as well get my cinema tickets out of my wallet and list all the movies I saw, as I only posted a handful on the other page.

Best:
Napolean Dynamite
Spiderman 2

Good:
Kill Bill Vol. 2
Super Size Me
Mean Girls
A Cinderella Story
The Manchurian Candidate
National Treasure
Ocean's Twelve

Meh:
Thirteen
Butterfly Effect
Troy

Disappointing:
Shrek 2
Team America: World Police
Hero

So I have bad taste in movies. Ah well.

I really liked SpiderMan 2. My favorite part is where spidy and MJ kiss and he's upside down. I hope someday I'll have a romantic relationship like that.

Anywhoo, I thought Shark Tale was ok, lots of little popular culture references in it. And Martin Scorcese sounding like he inhaled helium was great.  :D

cat: No way Nemo was better than Incredibles, cool  James Bond-gadgetry and super powers kicks silly old fish anyday. *whomps*

Agreed.  The only good movie with Aniston in it that I can think of is the great "Office Space", and she's easily the weakest part of it.  So overrated.
