Carnivale

So, anyone here interested in HBO's Carnivale series? The box DVD set just came out, and season 2 is on it's way. January, I think. It is quite the ingenious show, good writing, but extremely complicated.

Yeah, I got hooked on the first season.  If I hadn't bought the first Seinfeld DVD, I'd have enough to get it...maybe next payday.

Iris is really the demon, and not Brother Justin?  I think so, because their adopted father's "sin" in the flashback was when Iris (as a child) ran over and embraced him--Justin was just cowering behind a tree.

Have you been to the Carnivale message boards?  I was on there for a few weeks, but there was one of those insufferable know-it-all buttholes who was in good with the mods.  He crammed the board with posts about how great his opinions were, and how everybody else's sucked.  Since they wouldn't put a muzzle on him, I just split, as did several others.

I can't wait for this to come back. It's been so torturous to wait for more episodes. I love Lodz.

EDIT: Carnivale returns January 9th [I think]. I saw a commercial for it and nearly peed my pants. I have serious doubts as to whether they can keep it going for another season after this one, though it might just make it since most of the HBO shows have a "season" of 10-13 episodes. I just hope they resolve the major conflict without it descending into whatever that was that Lynch did to Twin Peaks season 2.

Rise...RISE!

Well, the second season is in full swing, and there are revelations-a-plenty.  How about this week's episode (2/20/05)?  Hoo-boy!  Makes me wish I had let them hook up the DVR after all.

I checked out a couple other boards, and the buzz is pretty active.  How about it, PEEL Carnivale fans?

Will Belyakov live?  Will Sofie have Ben's love child?  Are they actually half-siblings?  Will Samson be the only one to survive it all???

And, for the record, I eat bananas and cheese after every episode and before bed just to make sure.

I was just flicking through the TV a couple of weeks ago looking for some wanking material and tuned into Carnival to see 2 lesbos make out so it got a thumbs up from me, I'd give it 2 but the other one was occupied.
