To be fair, I'm also doing a poll for the best anime on Adult Swim. Super Milk-Chan isn't in the poll because it was included with the comedies.

I included Trigun amd Lupin because they've been part of the lineup until recently.

OK, this isn't a vote, but...

..when you hear the title "Full Metal Alchemist", do you picture R. Lee Emery marching back and forth in front of a bunch of guys in purple robes covered with moons and stars, shouting "YOU CALL THAT TURNING LEAD INTO GOLD, YOU MAGGOTS?! DROP AND GIVE ME TWENTY!!"

Or is that just me?

Aw jeez...I gotta choose between WR and GitS:SAC? You gotta be kiddin' me, man!

I picked Wolf's Rain, cuz it hasn't already been picked yet.

EDIT: btw, when does the Read or Die series start? Wasn't it sometime in early January?

Well I may not be able to get Adult swim where I live but I do watch copius amounts of anime.

Now I love Cowboy Bebop and Trigun but my vote will go to GITS : SAC as it is a fantastic sstory line and Yoko Kanno provides some fantastic music (as she does for Bebop anf Wolf's Rain)

Now I liked the first half a Wolf's Rain as it was different and quite interestign but the second half (after the 4 episodes of recaps) it became quite generic.

I'm just pissed that Fox got then rights to One Piece as they have already begain to butchr the show, at least adult swims shows are not to badly cut.

Agreed.  Were the creators honestly trying to make that connection or something?  Cuz that's what most Americans think of when they hear "Fullmetal Alchemist."

I want to vote for Bebop or Trigun, both extremely awesome shows.  However, I've seen those series so much I'm almost completely burnt out on them.  So I'll have to cross those two off.  Inuyasha sucks, so that's gone.  I didn't care much for Wolf's Rain, even thoug I've only seen like 5 episodes.  That leaves Witch Hunter Robin, GitS, and RoD.  I'm not sure if I GitS deserves the "best" tag so early, and while WH:R is good, I'm not sure it's the "best" either.  So that leaves Read or Die.

I'm not a huge fan of anime, but I've started watching Bebop and GitS every week. Trigun is pretty good, and WR and Inu-Yasha are boring. Anyway, my vote goes to GitS.

Show some self-restraint woman!

I gotta go with Bebop, even if I was "burnt out" on it, it's the best no matter what.....

Bebop, followed by Trigun and Robin.

EDIT:

Kryten: I expected a Rock Star Robot myself.

Bebop is the only one I've seen all the way through.  It's a great series obviously, but I'd like to lodge my vote with some of the newer stuff they have on.

I've only seen one episode each of Fullmetal Alchemist and Ghost in the Shell.  I wasn't meaning to watch Fullmetal Alchemist, but it came on and it kept me interested enough to watch.  The story was pretty tight and very emotional as it described how the two main characters came to their current condition.  When it came on I thought to myself "WTF is this?", but it delivered.

I wasn't too fond of the Ghost in the Shell movie, so I didn't know if I'd enjoy the episodes.  I thought it was pretty good, worth watching again.  The animation is very nice to look at.

I'm going to not vote until I see more episodes of each.  It gives me an excuse to keep taping them and watching.

Either that or you can vote correctly: for Bebop.  ;)

InuYasha.  Too bad it's currently in reruns.  Witch Hunter Robin is a close second.

Why is Read or Die on the poll?  I know they showed the movie, but the TV series has never been shown on Cartoon Network.  It is a cool series, though.

I seen all 51 episodes of Full Metal Alchemist, and it's message is:

Life sucks, you can't change it. Suck it up and live with it. You have to make sacrifices.

I'm re-watching the Witch Hunter: Robin dvds that I bought a while ago (yet never had the chance to see them all the way through, huh), and my opinion of the show really increased.  I thought it was pretty good before, but now I have time to study the nuances that I didn't before.  The show's very underrated if the viewer doesn't know what he's getting into.  Yes, there's not a lot of "fighting," but I think the show works well without it.  It maintains its "X-Files" charm.

That's because they're bringing the series to Adult Swim some time next year, I believe...

If that's true, then okay.  It seems odd though that people are voting for it when it hasn't been shown yet.  Maybe people are just voting for their favorite show on the poll instead of their favorite show currently on Adult Swim (or maybe they just liked the movie).
