I would like to make a thread for the UK peelers can put on a review The Simpsons in the UK. Some of you may know that The Season 12  (I think) episodes is going to start tonight on Channel 4 along with the documentary about the Simpsons and a The Simpsons celebrity quiz show as part of The Simpsons night.

Not only that but there is a new Simpsons episode on tonight at 8:30pm on Sky 1 called Fraudcast News. I’m looking forward for the reviews.

Channel 4 will air the lame 10th series and beyond episodes. I have better things to do in my time than watch those.

9pm on bonfire night, and they think everyone's going to stay in and watch? Fools.

So, channel 4 rolls out the red carpet for tired simpsons episodes, while it left new futurama to be shown at 2:40AM, and then get replaced by 'big brother live'.

Season 11 bored me somewhat, I missed half of the shows, I'll leave the VCR to tape tonight, in the hope that the documentary is good stuff.

I'm looking foward to the documentary, because I hear it's specialy made for Channel 4, and the clips I've seen advertising it look good. As for the two eps, I already have 'A Tale of Two Springfields' on DVD. I will be taping the THoH though, as it's one of my faves...

I have something to say, you moron. This is nothing to orgasm over. I've seen every episode I like plenty of times. And I'd rather eat a Hippo that's been rolling in shit than watch channel 4 which hosts such lovely crap such as Big Brother and the equally dying 'Bo Selecta.

Just saw the quiz, I'm glad it showed the joke that the BBC cut with 'wanker' in it.

Also, I think Richard Bacon is one.

Gotta say, that was awesome. I'm speaking to someone else about it now and we both agree they should do a quiz show every friday. Brilliant....

I was really surprise with the word “Wanker” to be put on in The Simpsons too. The quiz was great and I have nearly all the answers right.

All the guys were wankers in the show apart from the TV Doctor and   :love:Nick Frost

Nurdy I understand you disagree with people's opinions and yes Bo selecta is awful, but you don't have to be such a dick all the time.
I don't think you've ever made a post where you're not pissed of at something or someone.

I enjoyed the documentary, it was very interesting and entertaining, and the clips chosen spanned almost the entire run to date. It's great to have interviews with the voice artists themselves, the only disappointment was that Harry Shearer wasn't in it. As a result, the documentary lost out on information about classic characters such as Mr Burns, Flanders and Principle Skinner. Aside from that, it was really clool. I just hope something like this makes it onto a Simpsons DVD set in the future, a good hour long, in-depth documentary...

As for the quiz, I found it enjoyable, and pretty funny. Although you could tell it was a one-off, as not everything seemed to run smoothly. Again, a nice selection of eps chosen, and some inventive ideas for quiz rounds...

Yeah I thought the quiz was quite funny, but I read from some people on another forum, they thought it was absloutley awful, someone said they could only bare watching it for 20 minutes.
Which baffles me, Okay it was brilliantly produced and edited but I don't understand what could be so unbearable about it, it was much easier to bare than the episodes C4 showed thats for sure.

I didn't like the quiz much at all, I mean, they had a good panel and everything, there was just something very uncomfortable about it.

I enjoyed the documentry too, and I've been loving the classic Simpsons episodes shown at 6pm  :D

I stopped watching the quiz after about 5 minutes. It seemed like it might be quite good but I had watched 6 episodes, the documentary and read School is Hell that day so I was all simpsoned out.

I agree totally, the quiz did "feel awkward", they just didn't seem to work well.

I was constantly hoping that Matt would mention "his other creation, Futurama", but you can only hope for so much  :p
