Out of all the Disney movies who is your favourite sidekick/secondary character?

My top three sidekicks are:
1: Genie from 'Aladdin'
2: Timon and Pumbaa from 'The Lion King'
3: Phil from 'Hercules'

Who are your favourites?  :)

Iago from Aladdin is an awesome sidekick to Jafar. Very funny, speaks his mind, and has a cloolsome voice...

I also love the Cheshire Cat from Alice in Wonderland. Although he's not really a sidekick, he almost comes across as one during Alice and the Queen of Hearts croquet game, awesome...

Morph from Treasure Planet is one of the most inventive sidekicks, as he can morph himself into any object roughly his size. Handy, and confusing, but a great character. As is Ben the insane Robot...

Launch Pad from Ducktales and Darkwing Duck. He sure loved crashing that plane.

I like...
1. The cutlery people from the beauty and the beast
2. The donkey from Shrek (but I don' like watching Eddie Murphy in person though, weird I like the donkey which is voiced by him)
3. The dwarfs in Snow white
4. The fairies in sleeping princess
5. The cat in Alice in Wonderland

There may be more but I don't remember right now, Disney cartoons are beautiful; it's dreamy and enjoyable to watch.  A popular choice for French parents choosing programmes for their kids besides our own.

1: Timon and Pumba
2: Lumiere + Cogsworth
3: Sebastion + Flounder

Technically that is the top 6, but I find sidekicks tend to come in pairs  :)

  • Launchpad McQuack. (best in DWD)
  • Pumbaa. (The Lion King- A rare instance where the Danish version actually had a way better voice)
  • Archimedes (The Sword in the Stone).
  • Iago (Aladdin).

Mulan: Eddie Murphy does the voice of the dragon. Certainly to my mind, his second best film.

Guess I had to come across this thread at some point, eh?   ;) Well, here's my top 10, hehe.

1. Mushu (Mulan)
2. Timon (TLK. coincidentally, he used to be my favorite, but Mushu kinda stole the spot from him. ^^; )
3. Genie (Aladdin)
4. Iago (Aladdin, again.)
5. Baloo (The Jungle Book)
6. Dory (Finding Nemo)
7. Pleakley (Lilo and Stitch)
8. Fidget (The Great Mouse Detective)
9. Shenzi, Banzai and Ed (TLK)
10. Meeko (Pocahontas. And he was the only thing I liked about the movie. lol.)

Just a quick question. When Aladdin was drowning and Genie came down to help him why did he need aladdin to make a wish to save him? Couldn't Genie just save Aladdin himself?

It's because the donkey isn't black, but in person, Eddie Murphy is black.

I don't like Disney movies. They scare the crap out of me. Seriously. Most other things I can take, but not Disney.

For the same reason he couldn't wish himself out of being a Genie. He can't grant his own wishes...
