If Lisa can't think of three nice things that Bart has done for her, then she must have a very short memory.

Can someone get me a picture of feral Bart? You know, in the rags with the tie around his head?

No airdate has been given yet.  I'd assume April or May though, probably May I'd say.

Saw Homer & Ned's Hail Mary Pass and Pranksta Rap. Both were pretty funny episodes, despite crappy guest stars (I didn't even know who anyone in the first episode was, and couldn't understand half of 50 Cent's lines... still, you'd think a rapper would make a decent voice actor, considering they essentially just talk for a living anyway... :rolleyes : ).

Didn't care too much for the end of Pranksta Rap, felt WAAAAYYY to Money Caper-esque to me... though I liked the credits, nice to FINALLY see a little variety with them. My favourite joke had to be Milhouse throwing the frisbee back and forth. Despite the fact it could be seen coming a mile away, I still laughed my ass off at it. Then again, I laugh at any joke that obviously just wastes my time. Overall, a nice episode that gives a lot of much-needed focus to some lesser characters in the show, particularly Chief Wiggum and Kirk Van-Houten... Although I was a little annoyed by the fact that the plot with Milhouse missing his dad kinda faded out after Act 2, especially considering he wasn't released in the end.

As for Homer & Ned's Hail Mary Pass, it wasn't as good or generally fun as Pranksta Rap, but definitely had its moments. Flanders making violent movies seemed REALLY out of character for me, even if they were religious movies. Yes, I get the "satire" on The Passion of the Christ here, but I still think it was out of character. Seriously, if they do one more The Passion reference, I'm going to scream. I can already think of 3 episodes with references to it off the top of my head right now... Still, the episode itself had some funny moments, despite some groan-worthy attempts at satirical humour.

MY RANKS:
Homer & Ned's Hail Mary Pass: B-
Pranksta Rap: B

This season's looking good so far, not one bad episode yet.   :)

This is new one about to be released? if it is, nothing can suck more than Bart Mangled Banner. Nothing. I'd rather watch Aligator than the Banner episode.

Imagine this: Bart Mangled Banner is an old dog that rolled around in a huge, ultra-smelly turd. On a Clear Day I Can't See My Sister, on the other hand, is like a newly adopted puppy that rolled around in a normal turd and later got sprayed with really cheap deoderant. Hope that helps imagine the suckiness of the newest Simpson episode.

"Clear Day" is nowhere near that bad.  Yeah, its not a great episode, and it has very obvious problems, but its nowhere near something like "Simpsons Safari".  Its comparable to "Mangled" quality I suppose, but "Mangled" also isn't anywhere near the bottom 30 or so worst episodes.

Yeah, but I thought that it was a perfect example of how the Simpsons have been on air so long, their "stories" are sometimes nothing more than stupid daydreams of the writers with amazingly shallow plots.

Shallow plots like Marge vs the Monorail, or Bart gets an elephant.

You people. The greatest of all completely plotless episodes is that Brad Goodman one, who's name escapes me. I still don't know what it was about. It kicked ass, though.

Haha, well that one was good.  Kind of all over the place, but damn if I don't enjoy the Goodman character.  Perfectly describes what I hate about a lot of those "self-help" guys.

And yeah, "Clear Day" had more of a plot then something like "Monorail".  It wasn't especcially well executed, but it still had a plot.

Even relatively more bearable duds like "Homer to the Max" were significantly worse then "Clear Day".  Cut it some slack.

I actually don't like Bart's Inner Child that much... if you judge it humour-wise, quite a lot of the jokes in it were lame and predictable.

Guys? New episode?

Goo Gai Pan

A sub-par performance. Could have been a lot better.    It started okay and never really got any better. The jokes were stale and I didn't really like anything other than the Homer Buddha.

Ah yes, new episode.  It was disappointing, just like I expected (is that possible?).  Too many bad gags, although there were a number of good ones as well.  The plot took a backseat to the standard vacation jokes, as usual, which is too bad, as the plot had more substance than most vacation episodes.  I'd say C+/B-, though that sounds both too harsh and kind of high at the same time.

That was quite disturbing indeed.

I wish when Homer said he was an acrobat, they didn't call himm on stage, that would have been a suprise.

The dragon part near the beginning, reminded me too much of the Godzilla part in "30 Minutes over Tokyo", but less funny and more annoying.

I give this episode a B-

Yeah, the acrobat scene was incredibly predictable, it played out almost exactly the way I expected it, and wasn't even funny to make up for it.

I liked the dragons the first time, but the second time they were not as funny, they had lost that unexpected aspect.  (side note: I like the godzilla bit less than the dragons, as it was presented as 'real', whereas the dragons were obviously fantasy.)

I should watch this again, I can only seem to remember bad parts at the moment (so many pain gags...).

I SO thought about Futurama when they made the bureaucracy gag. The Lucy Liu(sp) character(forgot name) reminded me SO much of Morgan Proctor in that one scene with her using the stamp. It looked JUST like the scene in HHRHGB when Hermes and Morgan were doing the switching papers and stamping thing...They probally might've planned it like that. If somebody has the episode, somehow, no saying anything about how, look at the scene and the scene in HHRHGB and see if they are similar.

And the Great Wall joke reminded me of the South Park episode.
