I don't like Matt Hardy much, I was hoping he'd stay gone. Maybe go to TNA, he'd be perfect for them. Does anyone know what Brock Lesnar has been up to? And Goldberg? I heard he was going to be in a movie with Ray Ramano.

http://www.wwe.com/inside/news/brethart This pretty much says it about Vince and Bret Hart. Hart and McMahon face to face August 5, 2005

It was a sight many fans never thought they would see again, until now. Bret Hart and Vince McMahon met face to face today before shooting began for the upcoming DVD chronicling the Hit Man's career.
During shooting, McMahon and Hart both talked about Bret's beginnings, SummerSlam 1992, the historic Owen Hart-Bret Hart rivalry, Stone Cold Steve Austin, the infamous Montreal incident, Bret's jump to WCW and much more.
Afterwards, the Hit Man said he was "happy with how everything went today," regarding the Bret Hart-WWE joint production.

You're right, WWE is cool, for about 10 seconds...
Wrestling is cack! Not just because it's fake, but because its just the same thing over and over again.

Maybe if the WWE would stop trying to make money off it...
A wrestler said of Matt Hardy recently "That's the typical Vince McMahon. He'll tell you, 'My mistake' and talk you into coming back, then as soon as you sign, it's like, 'F-- you, I own you for two years!' and he makes you miserable." That's what it seems, in my opinion, Vince did to Bret Monday. Talked him into the DVD thing then basically slapped him in the face.
I don't get what's up with you and the whole ego thing anyway. The man's life is in shambles, and he probably just doesn't want to appear on TV. He said a while ago in an interview that bright lights give him a headache now days. Besides HBK has a bigger ego backstage than Bret ever did. Bret probably just didn't want to drop the title to him peroid because HBK,(wrestling/mic ability aside) is a dick in real life, and represented everything that Bret didn't like about what wrestling had become(edgier characters, more emphasis on stuntwork, less on actual wrestling, etc.)

Number one, Bret had just poped Vince Mcman one right in the face. If he had resigned, Vince would have run him right into the ground.
Number two, the outcome wrestling is predetermined, there would be little satisfaction for Bret in facing HBK again. He'd probably be booked to lose, and he'd just have to work with someone he hates.
Thirdly, besides the fact that I just said it may have had nothing to do with Canada, as I said eariler, even Bret not wanting to lose the title in Canada is understandable to a degree. You may not understand because you live in the US, but the man is a national hero, and it was supposed to be his final match(he was retiring because he didn't like what wrestling was turning into).
Fourth, you misunderstand what he meant about Austin. He means that he felt all the respectability has gone out of wrestling due to characters like Austin. Austin was one of those edgey characters he didn't like as I was talking about eariler, he was worried about the future of wrestling if it kept going in this direction. Six years later, you have Triple H having sex with a dead body. If this is Bret Hart's personal opinion, and you are a fan, then you should respect it.
Fifth the man had to retire due to a major concussion and has since had a stroke. That's some major head trauma, and bright lights hurting his head isn't that far fetched.
Besides, he's known for whining about being mistreated, not making up excuses. There is a difference.

I'm not saying I want to see Bret Hart come back and wrestle, because I know of his concussion.
If Bret Hart came out with a steel chair and hit Shawn Michaels, knocking him out, to allow Hogan to win and Hart flipped the bird at Michaels and was never seen again, that would be enough for me. However, the fact that Hart wouldn't want to do that is messed up.
Bret Hart should've just lose to Michaels if he was leaving anyway, there's no point in worrying what Canadian fans would think because they already knew he was going to WCW. If I was Canadian I wouldn't care and I'd forget that loss because of bret's other accomplishments, instead I'd be still pissed at the screwjob, to this day.
Bret Hart's mind is stuck in the past. His old way of thinking about wrestling is about as corny as Bill O'Reily's thinking about family values in today's world. I hate O'Reily, but I like Bret Hart, and it's a shame he doesn't get with the times. Hogan's accepted that his "take your vitamins, say your prays and drink your milk" doesn't fly in today's wrestling world.
