No offense, but fuck the 24/7 rule. It turned the title into a joke. Before the Hardcore title were brought back, I'd like to see some of the other titles (Crusierweight and tag titles) taken more seriously. They're having trouble managing the titles they have now. They don't need more.

"Gone" as in "Crash Holly died this year."

I think they should keep the hardcore title dead.  The 24/7 rule was fun while it lasted, and there were a lot of funny bits involving it.  But, as was stated, they should focus more on CWs and even the IC title before bringing in a new belt.

Well the Elimination Chamber is back.

Who will win the world's title?

Chris Jericho
Batista
Chris Benoit
HHH
Randy Orton
Edge

One of these guys will be champion.  I just hope it isn't HHH.  Please WWE that is getting old.  Edge as champion would seem like a HHH clone, but I would tolerate that much better than HHH.  This could be Batista's chance to be champion, but what will probably happen that it will seem like he and HHH will split up.  They'll brawl, but by the next night they will be cool with each other.  Of course, they may just split.

How do you see Edge as being a Triple H clone? I'll be happy as long as Triple H doesn't win it back, he said in an interview recently that he feels he's getting screwed because Vince feels if he has the title all the time that people will think that it's just be because he is Vince's son in law. Jeez, ya think? Yeah, sounds like Triple H is just an egotistal asshole to me.

The way Edge is acting, all full of himself with his book and talking how he should be world's champion.  It just sounds like HHH.  Maybe it's because we've had to deal with HHH as champion for so long that it's hard to see another type of heal as world champion.  JBL the way he's getting all these people to watch his back is so HHH.

Anyone but Triple H winning the title would be awesome.
But I honestly want any of the face wrestlers to win it. (The last face champion I can remember was Benoit. Orton's and Michael's were too short.)
As for WWF No Mercy, that is the best wrestling game ever. Unfortunately, the first one I got had a glitch that erased all my data every couple of days. Had to send it to THQ, and they sent me a good one back. Unfortunately, I lost it!

Yea! [500] posts!

That No Mercy Glitch happened only once with me, and that sucked, I changed all the names from upper case to lower case, for some reason I didn't like when the names were all upper case, it bothered me.

Congrates on the 500 posts Eyedol7513!

I just pity Smackdown for having JBL do the old "Shanon Moore's name stuffing the lottery".  Brock Lensar did that last year around this time.

I really wish WWE would do is have inter promotional matches.  Not all the time that it gets boring, but something like Clash of the Champions.

WCW had two Clash of the Champions per year.  One in Jan and another in Sept.  It would be cool if the WWE had two Clash of the Champions around the same times and have RAW vs. Smackdown superstars.

Orton vs. Cena
Bastista vs. Luther Reigns
Regal and Eugene vs. Rey and RVD
HHH vs. JBL
Shawn Michaels vs. Kurt Angle
Kane vs. The Big Show
Snitksi vs. Heidenreich

and so forth.

Just a heads up,  John Mcadam has Dvds now. He may have for awhile, but they weren't there the last time I checked. Anyway, you can get like 6 hour DVDs of mid 90s wrestling action from ECW, WWF and WCW for like 20 bucks. And it's apperantly somehow legal through some loophole these tape guys use.

Whomever in charge of the writing is now offically an idiot. Triple H won because he was Vince's son in law (I mean, come on, he's good but everyone is sick of him, and I personally hate him and his political games), when both Batista and Edge were primed to become major stars. I can see where this is going already, Edge fueds with HBK, while Batista gets hungry and goes after the title at the Rumble, only to lose to Triple H.

I just saw a promo of a new wrestler, Chris Masters.  I think that's his name.  Anybody have anything on him?

I can't believe both Eugene and Lita are injuried for several months.  That sucks.

Orton vs. HHH at the Royal Rumble.  I predict HHH will win if Batista continues to kiss HHH's ass, or if Batista finally says, "screw you, HHH" Orton could win.

HHH will win, because he's HHH.  The man won't be happy until every hot singles wrestler is crushed underneath his mighty ego.  Booker T, Kane, Chris Jericho, RVD, Randy Orton, and soon Dave Batista.  The day HHH drops the belt and it stays dropped (ie, the new champion feuds with someone other than HHH) is the day I start watching new programing.

I didn't see it, but I heard of it. It's just plain sad.
And WWE has recently had alot of cool promos of wrestlers, but when they debuted, the wrestler just plain sucked. (Mordeaci & Heidenreich anyone?)
And all the new wrestlers have been big men. Looks like the rumor about Vince only wanting big men is true. (Masters is big, Hassan is big, and whoever debuted before Hassan was also big. I think it was Snitsky.)

I just saw RAW and I can't believe that Canada still hates Shawn Michaels.  It's been 7 years, and I like Bret Hart, but Canadian fans still boo Shawn Michaels.  I remembered when they booed Goldberg a year ago over what he did to Bret Hart in 1999.

Does Bret Hart really matter that much to Canada?  I'm a huge Bret Hart fan, but I'm not holding Michaels against what happened to Bret Hart.  I'm holding Vince Mcmanhon responsible for that.  Sometimes I wish Bret Hart would just come back to talk about what happened, but I'm sure he wouldn't because he doesn't like Mcmanhon or Michaels.  It's interesting that because of that, the WWE is trying to make Edge like Bret Hart.  Edge is whinning about how he's been "screwed" so many times and he "blames" Shawn Michaels.  That sounds familiar.

I like the news about Stone Cold returning to have a press conference.

As far as the cool promos, they shouldn't do them like Mordeaci & Heidenreich, because they were big let downs.  Snitsky didn't have a promo and he turned out great.  Hassan's was okay, since he's staying true to what he promised in his promos.

Kane chokeslamming Trish was great.  I laughed my ass off.  It was almost as funny as what Lensar did to Gowen.

While I still like HBK, you have to realize that Bret Hart is a national hero. He came 39th out of 100 in the greatest Canadian TV special(And there have actually been some pretty great Canadians).

Don't mean to ruin the surprise, but I've heard Austin is going to announce a 3 movie deal with WWE films.

Thanks newhook_1 for the Austin news.  I don't mind that you ruined this surprise since I don't think I would've been able to see the press conference.  Also, still about Bret Hart, Michaels is right Canadian fans need to get on with their lives.  I understand if they didn't like Shawn Michaels, but booing him for what he did seven years ago is senseless.

It would be like Hogan fans still booing Hogan for joining the NWO back in 1996.

If we want to step away from wrestling, it would be music fans still booing the Beatles for what John Lennon said about them being popular than Jesus.  Lennon didn't mean it, but his statement was taken out of context and American Beatle fans actually hated them for it.  After Lennon said he was sorry fans forgave him.   Michaels said he was sorry, but Canadian fans still hate him.

Not trying to take away from what you said about the beatles, but the nWo was part of a storyline, the Montreal screwjob was not. Now as I said, I still like HBK, but he obviously isn't sorry, the fans aren't stupid. He could have refused to go along with Vince's plan, and if Vince fired him over it, HBK could have sued the pants off him over breach of contract. HBK wanted the title, and he screwed over another popular wrestler that he had a personal vendetta against to get it, and from what I have heard about HBK, that's not something he'd be sorry for. It's as simple as that. The WWE doesn't forgive wrestlers who screw them over(IE: Jeff Jarrett), so why should Canadian fans forgive one who screwed over a national hero?

Vince should have just been hard nosed with Hart, and said "Drop the title to Shawn, or leave." If he left, sure it would have looked bad for one night on the PPV, but in the end WWE and HBK would have been the ones to save face, and Bret would look the asshole.

Every time I watch Smackdown, I get more disappointed.  John Cena vs. Kenzo Suzuki is next week.  Didn't they do that last week?  We'll probably see Cena win again.  (yawn)  Unless SD decides to shake things up and make Kenzo Suzuki be the champion.  The only interesting thing is that Su Funkai is Crusierweight champion.

Smackdown is the minor leagues of the WWE.  RAW has the bigger stars.  The royal rumble match on the Smackdown side sucks.  They won't have Kurt Angle or Big Show.  Eddie, Cena and Booker T are okay, but look on the RAW side, Edge, Michaels, Bastista and others.

The brand split was a bad idea, but we'll probably not see it end for a while.

I heard that there would be another lottery "roster" shakeup after Wrestlemania. Maybe that will give SmackDown some life. (And hopefully won't kill RAW.)

John Cena should be WWE champion.  He has potential.  He's The Rock, Austin and Michaels all rolled up into one.  I want to see him beat JBL and become WWE champion.

I hope the WWE doesn't have another lottery.  That will eventually get old.  They should just do the storyline of wrestlers ending their brand contracts and jumping sides.  Just like how Matt Hardy wound up on RAW.  His contract was up on SD and RAW ceased the opportunity.  Or just do trading.

The brand split is somewhat of a good idea.  If they didn't have it, then HHH would probably be the head guy on both brands not giving anybody else a chance at stardom.  I just don't understand why Vince continues to let HHH be champion.  I know he's his son-in-law, but us fans are sick of it.  I don't like watching wrestling much because of this.  Why can't HHH suffer a knee injury like Eugene or Lita?  That seems like the only way for guys like Orton, Batista, Edge and so forth to get pushes.

1 Batista
2 Booker T
3 Charlie Haas
4 Chris Benoit
5 Chris Jericho
6 Christian
7 Dan Puder
8 Eddie Guerrero
9 Edge
10 Gene Snitsky
11 Hardcore Holly

13 John Cena
14 Kane
15 Kenzo Suzuki
16 Luther Reigns
17 Mark Jindrak
18 Muhammad Hassan
19 Orlando Jordan

21 Rene Dupree
22 Rey Mysterio
23 Ric Flair
24 Scotty 2 Hotty
25 Shawn Michaels
26 Shelton Benjamin
27 Simon Dean
28 The Hurricane
29 Viscera

that's only 29, anyone know who's going to be number 30?  Who's your odds on favorite to win?

Watched the Royal Rumble tonight, and I have to say I am impressed.

The whole event was put together well and the matches were almost all worthwhile. The Rumble itself kept me on the edge of my seat, and I can't argue with the outcome.

Overall, I give it a 89/100

Can't wait til Mania.  :D

Thanks, but what I meant by 30th was that he was the wild card.  Angle wasn't listed in the Royal Rumble match, as were the other 29 guys I posted.

I'm just glad they didn't repeat what happened with Hart and Luger.

As for the winner, I hope he doesn't jump ship like Benoit did last year.  As far as the Wrestlemania main event, it doesn't sound good right now.  It reminds me back in 2000 where HHH was champion and was originally set to face the Rock, but the Rock lost his shot to the Big Show in Feb's pay per view.  So it was going to be Big Show vs. HHH.  As the Rock said, Wrestlemania was going to suck until that fatal four way was made, adding the Rock and Mick Foley.

-Taker&Kane vs Snitskey & Heidenreich
-HBK vs Angle

No Kane came to help the Undertaker or just come after Snitsky, but either way Kane got rid of Snitsky so it was just the Undertaker and Heidenreich again. Also the Undertaker won, the interference was just part of the match, not the deciding factor.
