Hey, some people have more important things to do then getting laid! Like masturbating to porn! Doing homework! Watching sports...going to bowling league....*muffled gunshot*

The pilot's a little too much like Johnny Quest, especially with Hank and Dean's dialogue. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't exactly up there with the actual series.

Well, they aborted it mostly with Hank. They kept most of it with Dean, thus making him the "fragile" one, and adding to hilarity.

I liked the pilot, and I don't believe the show has delineated very far from where the pilot took off. It had the monarch in it, but it also had this oriental dude that like masturbating to technology or something, very funny. And the prostitute bit was hilarious. I don't remember if it was 15 minutes or 30 minutes, but I suspect it was the former.

info on tomorrow's episode, "Trial of the Monarch":
The Monarch is on trial for the one crime he may not have committed, under mysterious circumstances stemming from his bitter breakup with Dr. Girlfriend.

I was really angry by the end of tonight's episode. It could possibly be over a year until we figure out if the Monarch will seek revenge on Hank and Dean, or if the Phantom Limb and Dr. Girlfriend Queen Opal will get away, or what the Guild is planning. CN's screwing up the order of these episodes is going to make next week's ep (where Hank and Dean go to the Monarch for help) look incredibly bizarre. I think what really upset me at the end was Brock's total non-involvement in the Guild's activities. He respected them, yet I still think he should have done something...

I don't know if it's gonna make it that bizarre, because this is the plot of the next episode: 'Dr. Venture finally learns the secret of his recurring womb nightmares when a stomach tumor turns out to be something far more sinister. In a fit of jealousy over their mistaken belief that their father is pregnant, the boys run away from home. But their refound freedom is short lived once they run afoul of the law and land themselves in a "Scared Straight" style outreach program headed by none other than the recently Incarcerated Monarch.' The episode last night was production #1-13. The episode next saturday is production #1-11. The episode last Saturday was production #1-12. It looks like they're messing up the actual order of the series, but I think that the episodes are being shown in the correct order they were intended to be shown in, and were just produced out of order. If they did air them by order of the production numbers, then we'd have had the boys in jail with the Monarch last week, the monarch suddenly out of jail yesterday, and then the Monarch's trial next week. That would definitely not make sense in terms of continuity.

Holy crap, that was intended to be the season finale. Hank and Dean are dead?!? For the first time, I thought that the blast knocked them clear, but Dean's body looked pretty charred up in the epilogue. I assume Dr. Venture will clone them, by getting the DNA off thier clothes, but still, that's one disturbing way to end a series. To kill off the title characters, wow. While it wasn't nearly as disturbing as Brock getting a cavity search, Team Venture dressed up as the cast of Rocky Horror is haunt my dreams for a while. Hank as Magenta and Dr. Venture as Dr. Frank... What kind of drugs are these writers on? I liked the two Cowboy Bebop references. VB is a nerdy show for nerdy people. I'm glad it doesn't tune any of that geek chic stuff down, or else it would lose its cult charm. Please, [adult swim], pick this show up for another season at least. Please!

I found this on IGN.com. They're web-exclusives of The Monarch calling Dr. Girlfriend and his henchmen from prison. Of course, they work with the established continiuity of the episodes. Here.
