Aaahh! Real Monsters - I never REALLY loved it but i tolerated it.

Butt Ugly Martians - *sticks finger down throat*

Jimmy Neutron - Pours acid in eyes

Hey Arnold! - It was ok.

Fairly Odd Parents - Frikkin funny show.

Danny Phantom - Love it. I didnt at first, but i grew to love it.

This is a weird and disturbing thought but how would CatDog go to the bathroom? Was there a butt in the middle of them? As for the others. I'm only listing the ones that I hate.

Real Monters- Real Stupid

Angrey Beavers- Idiots that live among other idiots don't work...for me.

As Told by Ginger- In 3 words: Whiney, little, bitch.

Spongebob- One he looks like swiss chesse. And being creepy looking an being a total dumbass isn't my cup of tea.

Hey Arnold!- I have grown up with boys all my life and none of them acted like an angel.    :nono: None of them acted like a nerdy 14 year old either.

Not that I hate nerds. I love them!    As for the others I rate them above 5%. But I don't love any of them. Except KaBlam! I loved KaBlam and I wish Nick would still play it! The only good show on Nick ever.

You know I was wondering the same thing. Maybe they don't have a butt. Speaking of which, there was a creature in a Futurama episode that reseembled Catdog.

You're only eleven, so I can forgive you for thinking that, but it isn't true.

Once upon a time, long, long ago, Nickelodeon was a good channel and actually showed many programs that didn't suck.

Well, I'm turning 18 this November, and I think Nick shows shows that don't suck, like Fairly OddParents, Danny Phantom, My life as a Teenage Robot and Invader Zim (which still airs on the Nicktoons digital cable channel and is available on DVD).

P.S.:
Cyberman, Spacedal11, Kryten and DrJohnZ, here's some more CatDog-like creatures in cartoons:

from http://www.geocities.com/TelevisionCity/Network/4364/CatDog_tidbits.html

In the Looney Tunes episode: 1938's classic "Porky in Wackyland", one of the creatures there is a CATDOG!! They were sort of a bluish gray color and were endlessly chasing each other and fighting. Next time you come across this episode look for the catdog BEFORE CatDog. :-)

[SLH/Snowball II]

Thank you, Javier fromAsfasoti.com, for finding this fabulous screen grab from a classic "Treehouse horror Simpsons." Season 9, #8 I remember this episode, Snowball and Santas Little Helper, go in the machine and come out as "SnowballSanta", only happened a brief second. :-) Even Matt Groening, wanted to play bicranial quadreped for a second. heehee

Thank you SWO.net, for the image

ANOTHER recent spotting of a connected cat and dog is an Ren Stimpy episode "Double Header". They were hit by a bus, and the operator connected them like Siamese twins. Like most Siamese twin characters they were connected at side, and walked on 2 legs not 4 like CatDog. In one scene Stimpy had a hairball, and Ren puked it up. Just like Cat and Dog. lol More proof that connecting a feline and canine, would make an interesting and funny cartoon someday, and indeed CatDog is the greatest! :-)
In the Hey, Arnold episode "Weighing Harold", while Harold is in the bookstore, if you look closely, CatDog's in the background. Cat is on a red book facing left, and Dog on a blue book facing right. The books are right next to each other, therefore looking attached.  :)- offered by Catfan4004

To Kryten: How can you hate Hey! Arnold when the creator is related to Matt Groening?

To Nasty Pasty: How can you hate Oh Yeah! Cartoons when the Fairly OddParents got their start there?

To Fryfan: How can you hate Invader Zim when Billy West voiced Zim in the pilot, and Phil LaMarr and Dave Herman do voices in the regular series?

Just because Billy West did voice Zim, doesn't mean I should like the show.  I've never seen the pilot, so I wouldn't know.  Just because Phil LaMarr and Dave Herman did voices for that show, doesn't mean I have to like it just like Futurama.

By that logic, you're saying I should also like the show because Lucille Bliss who did Smurfette on The Smurfs, did Ms. Bitters.  Or that is like having to like Gigli, just because J-Lo was in it.

Also, Billy West played the voice of Rancid Rabbit on Catdog, so do you like Catdog because of that?  I thought the character was funny, but I don't like Catdog one bit.

Besides I thought you said didn't like creepiness, based on how you said you hate KND because by one scene from Operation: Archive.

I don't like Zim, because he was so annoying and an idiot.  The only thing I liked about the show was when Dib got the best of Zim, and that happened alot, but not enough to get me into the show.

There's a difference between live-action creepiness and animated creepiness.

I never really gave my opinion on these...

Doug:
Ah, this was a great show. Too bad Disney bought the animation company and got its grubby hands on it.

Rugrats:
This one was good too, until Dil was born, and then the stories just became boring and overdone. Oh, and also overexposing it to the point where my eyes burned.

Ren and Stimpy:
WOW, this was extremely stupid and violent, but it was so damn funny. I am so glad this is coming on DVD in October. Forget about Adult Party Cartoon, the originals are awesome.

Rocko's Modern Life:
Right next to ZIM as the best "cartoon" cartoon ever. Just completely random stuff, great voices, everything about this show was just amazing. I just remember the one in the future where the sons could ask old Filbert one question. One asks, "Why do we wear these things on our shoulders?" referring to their weird uniforms. Filbert responds, "Because... it's the future!" Just great.

Aaahh! Real Monsters:
I don't remember ever really liking this one. It just didn't strike a chord with me.

Hey Arnold!:
Ehhh, this one was OK. It started out well enough, then just became boring and standard. I like the one where Curly locks himself in the principal's office, having gone mad after not being ball monitor. Now that was good. Oh, and the whole changing voices thing weirded me out.

Kablam! / Action League Now!:
This was an original show. Too bad Action League Now engulfed it. Sniz and Fondue was a great segment, with its weird phrases it invented. But, it was doomed to obscurity.

The Angry Beavers:
YES! I love this show. It's weirdly retro, and Dag and Norb just play off each other so perfectly, that it's just hilarious. Even if some plots were unoriginal, the voice acting just vaulted it foward.

The Wild Thornberrys:
Stupid plot, ugly animation, freakin' ugly characters. What a waste.

Oh Yeah! Cartoons:
What about it? Basically just time-filler.

CatDog:
I never really liked this show either. I think it was that compared to the chemistry between Dag and Norb, CatDog just couldn't cut it.

SpongeBob SquarePants:
Ahh, I love this show. I don't care what any of you say about it, it's just so strangely stupid, but in a good way. For once, Nick is raking in dough on a GOOD show. Too bad it's been milked almost dry show-wise and merchandise-wise. The movie looks good though.

Rocket Power:
XTREME TO THE MAX RADICAL DUDE ROXXORXX!! Turn it off, por favor.

Pelswick:
The characters looked pretty weird, but I actually liked this show, and the theme. Too bad it aired for, what, three episodes?

As Told By Ginger:
Melodramatic junior high school shit. We got plenty of those already! We don't need another, especially one with dreadful character designs like this!

Invader ZIM:
The BEST EVER. Jhonen is a genius, with his wacky dark humor. Too bad Nick just didn't get it.

The Fairly Oddparents:
Amusing at times, but, having premiered at the same time, it just didn't compete with ZIM. Now that OddParents is the one still standing, I have a silent grudge towards it that cannot be swayed.

Chalk Zone:
This show just keeps coming back for more. ...why?

The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron, Boy Genius:
3D animation is wasted on an unoriginal and boring show such as this one.

My Life As A Teenage Robot:
For some strange reason, I like this show. Like Angry Beavers, it has this weird last 50s feel to it, with the backgrounds and characters. But there are only six episodes or so. What happened to this show?

....hey guys, remember me?

....no?  Darn.  :(

Anyway, I follow almost all these shows, good or bad.  In recent years I've developed a kind of obsession with every aspect of making cartoons.  Especially the voice acting.  I wanna be a VA.  Anybody remember when I posted my Bubbles impression?

....no?  I didn't think so.

When I was super-little, I loved Rocko's Modern Life.  Actually a lot of the dudes who're working on Spongebob now were doing Rocko back then.  I think that's one of the reasons I enjoy Spongebob, though I don't understand all the hype about it.

My favorite character was only in 2 episodes--Ralph Bighead, Ed and Bev's son who they disowned because he became a cartoonist.  He was voiced by the creator of the show, which makes him doubly awesome.

Then there was Rugrats, which was pretty okay  during its early days.  Then it just totally went down the tube.  But everyone knows that.

Let's see.  When Ren and Stimpy was still on the air, I was too young to grasp what everything meant.  But I loved singing "Happy Happy Joy Joy" anyway.  :D

Hey Arnold came out when I myself was a fourth grader.  Craig Bartlett's pretty okay in my book.  My favorite was Curly.  He was such a nut.  Grandma and Grandpa were awesome too.

I hardly remember any of the shows on Oh Yeah Cartoons, but Chalk Zone and FOP kind of stood out for me, which is kind of funny since they're both thier own shows now.

Okay, now I'm going to write a novel about the Fairly Odd Parents.  Brace yourselves.

Back in the days of Oh Yeah Cartoons, Timmy was voiced by Mary K. Bergman.  You might remember her, she used to do Wendy and about 50 other South Park voices.  Anyway, somewhere between the end of Oh Yeah Cartoons and the beginning of Fairly Odd Parents, she committed suicide, which is why Tara Strong is Timmy's voice now.  They even had her dub over Timmy's lines in the original episodes when they aired them as thier own show.  But you can still hear Timmy's first voice if you get the extra nictoons channel on Digital Cable and catch an episode of Oh Yeah Cartoons.  I did the other day, and the original voice seems really strange and foreign coming out of Timmy's mouth.  Anyway, even though it makes me feel bad to say this, I like Tara Strong's voice a hell of a lot better.  But two changes in voices that I DIDN'T like were the recent replacment of Chester and A.J.  The new voices just don't bring out all the humor and potential Chester and A.J. have as characters.

All the characters are great.  There's always these crazy situations, and then you add in these crazy characters, and everything's just....crazy.  (Boy, that was profound!)  The bad guys are just as much fun as the good guys.  Especially Mr. Crocker.  The guy who does HIS voice was also the Taco Bell dog.  Crazy, huh?

Oh yes.  I've memorized most episodes and I like to reinact them while providing all the different voices.  If you haven't begun to notice my unhealthy obsession with cartoon voices yet, you must be really dumb or something.

Oh, and I don't think Jimmy Neutron's as bad as people make it out to be.  I mean, it's not super-duper-awesome-great, but I wouldn't say it's awful or anything.  I like Carl and Sheen.  If THEY weren't in the show, THEN I'd admit that it was awful.  Ginger isn't great, either.  But it's better than most of those overly dramatic junior-high situations on TV.

I only saw two episodes of Pelswick, and I thought it was pretty funny.  Don't remember much else about it, though.

Now Doug just totally bored me to death.  I'm not saying it was bad, but it wasn't really my kind of cartoon.

ZIM didn't deserve to be cancelled.  I thought it was wonderfully creative.  But you all know that, too.

...there are a bunch of Nicktoons I didn't talk about, but I'm sure you don't want me to  take up any more space overanalyzing stuff and being all "Blah blah blah I take cartoons too seriously and blah blah blah this and that voice artist and blah blah blah blah."

Nickelodeon mostly sucks now.  I think IZ was their last really good show, and they axed it quite quickly.  However, Nick has had some awesome nicktoons including Ren & Stimpy, Rocko, Aggh! Real Monsters (it was watchable), Hey Arnold!, Kablam!, Angry Beavers, Fairly Odd Parents, and Invader Zim.  However, most of this has been replaced with crap, such as Catdog (which was never actually funny, but seemed like it could have been) and Rocket Power (I hate this show. a lot.)... Anyways those be my thoughts.

Rocket Power is out of production? Oh sweet sweet victory. I hate all the Klasky-Csupo shows on that channel. Wild Thornberries is by far the worst offender. They've also certainly managed to hack up Rugrats as well.

Wait, didn't Klasky-Csupo make As Told By Ginger? I take back what I said about Wild Thornberries being the worst offender.

Actually, Ahh! Real Monsters wasn't bad. But that's the exception to the rule, I guess.

I thought Rancid Rabbit had potential... but again... this potential never actually became anything, so there ya go... Catdog could have been an ok show... but it wasn't... it sucked.  The funniest part was the first episode where they accepted fanmail and we found out that catdog was royalty from the land of the leprechauns from deep below the ocean.

Doug - The first eps were good, when it was on Nick but when it went over to ABC, it stunk. Billy West didn't even do Doug's voice on the ABC one. =/

Rugrats/ Angelica and Susie's Preschool Daze/ All Grown Up - Okay. When I was young, this show was pretty cool. Then Dil showed up...and everything turned sour that moment on.

Ren and Stimpy (Show/ Adult Party Cartoon) - Loved the original, hate the new SpikeTV eps. WAY too gross for my tastes. And i'm not a prude, either!   :laff:

Rocko's Modern Life - Love this show.   :D

Aaahh! Real Monsters - One of the better Clasky-Cuspo shows, in my opinion. I have plushes of Ickis and Oblina still, somewhere.

Hey Arnold! - Not a big fan of it.

Kablam! / Action League Now! - Feh.

The Angry Beavers - Love this show! It's a shame they cancelled it.

The Wild Thornberrys - I hate everything about this show. And did I mention Elisa is one of THE most ass end ugly characters out there? >_o

Oh Yeah! Cartoons - Isn't this the same as "Kablam!"? Eh.

CatDog - I didn't care for it.

SpongeBob SquarePants - Too popularish for my tastes. Squidward and Patrick are the only saving graces to the show, actually.

Rocket Power - Ugly animation, as someone else said. I just feel like hurling a brick at the tv when this comes on.

Pelswick - Never saw it.

As Told By Ginger - Oh, yay, teen drama in animated form. >_o Get this show off the air, already.

Invader Zim - Big fan of this show, it's cancellation was one of the reasons i've lost all confidence in Nick.

The Fairly Oddparents - It's alright, I guess...some things on it are -really- hokey, but some of it's actually pretty funny.

Chalk Zone - one word. EW.

The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron, Boy Genius -Heh. Usually, when another company tries to go against Pixar, they don't suck at it.

Havent seen Danny Phantom, Crash Nebula, or My Life As A Teenage Robot.

Butt Ugly Martians - This is what they replaced Zim with...and compared to it, it just plain sucked. -_o

Yes, I'm aware of that John P. mentioned that so you didn't need to repeat it.  And that is what I meant.

By your logic that means I should like Plain M&M's and Honey Nut Cheerios.

No, my logic is that I don't have to like ZIM just because Billy West did the pilot.

Next time read carefully to what I say.

Dan wasn't in the Invader Zim pilot, unless he went uncredited.

But it's on the Invader Zim vol. 1: Doom Doom Doom, so it still counts.

BTW, All of the horrible (and not so horrible) Klasky Csupo's cartoons are canceled, except for All Grown Up, so quit bashing them!

Also, Nick is showing a Halloween marathona nd Angry Beavers, Doug and Rocko are going to be included! Check it out at http://forums.toonzone.net/showthread.php?t=123042

I really liked Kablam. I'm so angry it isn't on anymore. But in some places it was a bit wierd now that I think about it.
I like the Angry Beavers but the 'new' episodes are pretty crappy.
I hate As Told By Ginger.
Invader Zim is okay but not great.
Doug's pretty good
Catdogs alright.
Spongebob Sqaurepants is cool.
Thats my opinion.

By the way, what is Pelswick?
