At least they cancelled Rocket Power and As Told By Ginger...

Hopefully Jimmy Neutron will be next.

Then again, what do I care. I don't watch the channel.

Lemme break it down,

Doug- I thought this was an amusing show but I was a little kid when most these shows were good. I still liked this show.

CatDog- Had nothing but love. I've recently found out that the voice of Dog is the same voice for Spongebob (His name escapes me) and I look at Dog in a different way now. I always thought Cat was such a jackass.

Rugrats- Loved, loved, loved. But than I turned 10 and started watching Whose Line is it Anyway? and shows like Futurama. End of that.

Angelica and Susie's Preschool Daze- I've never seen it but I'm aware of it.

All Grown Up- This show pisses me off because they dress like 13 year olds and they're only like 10. That's not grown up! That's All Ready for Puperty. And the fact that they all still act like they did on Rugrats makes the show no different.

Ren & Stempy- Back in the cool days when they had Snick on Saturday nights, I'd watch it and sometimes I'd get really disturbed. So it was in and out.

Rocko's Modern Life- Neh.

Aaahh! Real Monsters- Freaked me out so I never watched it.

Hey Arnold!- I liked the show but once I turned into a bitch who hated sappy boys, I mocked him.

Kablam!/Action League Now- I looooove this show!

Angry Beavers- Constant conflict wasn't my thing.

The Wild Thornberrys- Hated it, only the episode with the wolf did I tolerate to watch. And I'm an animal person, I'm a huge animal person. And that show was total shit.

Oh Yeah! Cartoons- I'd watch it but never thought any of it.

Spongebob SquarePants- I'll be honest, I thought this was the coolest show for a while. Than I turned 10 1/2. And now I find him a homo. And the show sucks.

Rocket Power- I know that I liked it and than I got tired of it. Never thought it was a great show.

Pelswick- I liked it then, and I like it a lot more now.

As Told By Ginger- What a fucking whimp who can't think for herself. Disney Channel is full of those shitful shows. Horrible.

Invader Zim- Scared me.

The Fairly Odd Parents- Like it and I still watch it but it's stupid jokes are lame.

Chalkzone- Thought it was ok and don't think much of it.

My Life as a Teenage Robot- Different, stupid, not great, pretty bad, but I watch it when nothing is on.

Butt Ugly Martians- I watched a total of a whole 5 minutes for the time it was on. Bad to the shit.

Jimmy Nuetron- Ok not great but fairly amusing.

Danny Phanton- Pretty stupid but I can tolerate it.

Crash Nebula- I'm aware of but never saw it.

Let me do a breakdown of my own.

Doug- I had never known that Billy West was Doug until a few days ago. I loved the original Nick version.

CatDog- Good show. Not great show. And, another thing I didn't know till a few days ago, Rancid was voiced by, you guessed it, Billy West.

Rugrats- Let me quote Spacedal. "Loved, loved, loved." I turned 10 and I got into other stuff, but I still like to look back at it.

Angelica and Susie's Preschool Daze- I've never even heard of this! I remember one episode with Angelica and Susie at preschool and that was it.

All Grown Up- Mixed feelings. I liked it at first, thought it was cool. But I was thinking that they did seem alittle older than 10-12. I mean, Angelica seemed 14ish.

Ren & Stempy- Hey! Another Nick show with Billy West! It was good.

Rocko's Modern Life- One of my most favorite shows of all time.

Aaahh! Real Monsters- I loved it.

Hey Arnold!- I liked it....yeah, that's it.

Kablam!/Action League Now- Just one thing will sum up how much I loved these two shows: "Flash! He's super strong, and super naked. Thundergirl! She flies...like thunder. Stinky Diver! A man with a reputation as bad as his odor. And Meltman, with the power to...melt!"

Angry Beavers- I didn't like it that much.

The Wild Thornberrys- Wasn't near as good as Rugrats.

Oh Yeah! Cartoons- It was alright. Not great. Didn't bother it much.

Spongebob SquarePants- Honestly, I was the ONLY person in my WHOLE SCHOOL to like Spongebob when it first came on 6 years ago. Now, it's crazy! I stopped watching it in 5th grade and I'm now in 8th grade, and it's still crazy! In other words, I liked it, I made it a trend where I was, I hate it now. I can't wait till it's canceled.

Rocket Power- It was okay.

Pelswick- I didn't see it much when it was "new", but I liked it then and I like it still. Great show.

As Told By Ginger- Horrible.

Invader Zim- I loved it!!!!

The Fairly Odd Parents- It's a good show. On edge of great, but went down to good because of the stupid marketing.

Chalkzone- It was okay and all.

My Life as a Teenage Robot- I...hate...it.

Butt Ugly Martians- I mean, seriously, look at the name and change Martians to Show and you got my opinion on this show.

Jimmy Nuetron- It's good and all.

Danny Phanton- It's...okay.

Crash Nebula- I've never heard of the "show" but I've heard of the "show in the show".

Doug: Never seen the Nick version. The Disney version was OK, but I don't remember it well.

Rugrats/ Angelica and Susie's Preschool Daze/ All Grown Up: Rugrats was kind of annoying. All Grown Up isn't great, but it's better than Rugrats. Never seen the other one.

Ren and Stimpy (Show/ Adult Party Cartoon): Never seen either.

Rocko's Modern Life: Never seen it.

Aaahh! Real Monsters: Vaguely remember it, but I don't remember much about it.

Hey Arnold!: Eh, not that great. I did find that one episode where they found that guy's lost daughter to be kinda touching, though.

Kablam! / Action League Now!: Never seen either.

The Angry Beavers: Never seen it, but I kinda want to.

The Wild Thornberrys: Not very good.

Oh Yeah! Cartoons: Never seen it.

CatDog: Not sure. I don't really like it that much, but I don't really dislike it either.

SpongeBob SquarePants: Pretty good, actually. I don't actually set out to watch it, but I like it.

Rocket Power: Terrible show. Put simply, it should not exist and the characters and plots are annoying as hell.

Pelswick: Never seen it.

As Told By Ginger: Never seen it.

Invader Zim: AWESOME. This is the second best show ever (second only to Futurama). GIR is a great character (I have a GIR plushie!), and the art is phenominal. Jhonen Vasquez rocks.

The Fairly Oddparents: Also awesome. I think this show is tied with The Simpsons for 3rd best show ever.

Chalk Zone: Only seen part of it...I didn't like it that much.

The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron, Boy Genius: Actually, it's not that bad. The characters aren't great, and the plots aren't perfect, but it's actually pretty funny, and that's a good thing.

My Life As A Teenage Robot: OK, not great.

Danny Phantom: Rather good. Sam's a bit annoying though (though she was the inspiration for my website...).

Crash Nebula: Never seen it, but it could be good.

No, he didn't. Zim was voiced by the regular actor Richard Horvitz in the pilot episode "The Nightmare Begins".

However, in the original 11-minute unaired pitch to Nickelodeon, Billy West did do the voice, but his voice didn't fit the part.

Actually, they referred to the "pitch" episode as the pilot. Not all shows do, but Invader Zim did.

Although I've enjoyed many nicktoons in the past, I'll go with the ones that made a truly lasting impression on me:

Ren and Stimpy - This show brought most of the extreme craziness into cartoons as we know them today. '91-'96 R.I.P.

Rocko's Modern Life - One of the best overall series ever.

The Angry Beavers - Select episodes are absolute gold and are some of the funniest things I've ever witnessed.  If you haven't seen the episodes Euro Beavers, Kreature Komforts, or Oh Brother?, at least put that task on the back burner of your minds.

Catdog - Totally underrated (ok, maybe it didn't leave a truly lasting impression but I had to represent my liking since it's neglected by most people.)

Invader Zim - Very cool, very funny (but not the greatest thing since sliced bread as many younger viewers make it out to be.)

The Nicktoons I loved were

Doug (origional)
Rugrats (Pre-Dill)
Ren&Stimpy
Rocko's Modern Life
Angry Beavers

All the ones after that I never liked as much or at all (and for the record I HATE the Fairly Odd Parents).

Joe Murray is busy with Camp Lazlo on Cartoon Network.  We'll always have memories though...and hopefully officially released RML DVD's some day.

What I really want brought back to life is The Angry Beavers, in more adult form.  Lots of the later episodes were going in that direction any way.

The Fairly Oddparents, SpongeBob and Danny Phantom

FOP: Has lots of comedy (well not all that funny, but better than most shows now days and I love Cosmo)and is really well done.

SpongeBob: It's lost it's luster after about three years, but, hey, it's better than reality TV all day..

Danny Phantom: Has a solid storyline (though I found the Ember episode a tad annoying)and great artwork. I used to watch only when desparate, but I've gotten into it now. The movie was enjoyable, though I only saw a few minutes at the end because I forget it's on...

Edit:The rest wang worse than hell... Really, I wanna kill some of those shows with a baseball bat...just go to their studio and whack away!

I discovered Fairly Odd Parents back in February and totaly fell in love with it. At least with the first 3 seasons. For some reason Cosmo morphed from a loving devoted sweetheart to a verbally abusive cad. He used to treat Wanda like gold, now he treats her like shit. I am so freaking bitter about that.

Well, since the newer list of Nicktoons suck too badly to talk about, I think I'll review some of the nicktoons I remember growing up with.

Spongebob: I used to love this when I was like 6 years old. After the movie, the cartoon went way downhill and I stopped watching. I still don't regret looking back on it. The new eps give the show a bad name. Once in a blue moon will I find a funny gag from them. I still like Seasons 1-3, but as I got older, I can almost see how stupid they can be.

Fairly Odd Parents: This show was really, really funny. It had some decent story plots, but was always packed with a bunch of hilarious jokes. Cosmo always knew the right things to say. Timmy's voice ALWAYS annoyed me though. Anybody else? Once they introduced Poof, the show just got boring. A season or two later they kind of got back on track, but then they introduced Sparky. I think I've had enough New Characters. Every now and then I'll watch the episodes. I wish Jimmy Neutron went on and this got cancelled.

Jimmy Neutron: This was a great show. I still think it is a great show. Like, I wasn't especially fond of the movie. But the cartoon series vastly improved on it. Always had some great gags, and good story plots. Of course it has it's fair share of plotholes and goofs. But I still like watching it every now and then. Carl and Sheen are the best. Carl's singing was like the highlight of the show. Shouldn't have gotten cancelled.

Danny Phantom: How can I forget about this? This was an actually great show as well. I didn't really follow the series, but it had alot of potential and was actually really different from FOP. It wasn't nothing amazing, but had well-structured episodes, a nice premise, and great overall characters.

Planet Sheen: A spin-off from Jimmy Neutron. This was the most recent Nick series I decided to follow along with. People really seemed to hate it, but I thought it was okay. It has way more goofs than JN did. But hey, it was a show about Sheen! Sadly, the first (and only) season was a big mixed bag. I mean Sheen is a little different than he used to be. Actually kind of annoying at times, like a kid with ADD. But I love the other characters. They pretty much make up for Sheen's overall annoyance.

Also, I don't think this should be classified as the bad kind of bumping an old thread, since Nicktoons still air.

I haven't watched Nickelodeon since I was about 10, so I don't remember a whole lot about it. But the two Nicktoons that I loved as a kid were SpongeBob and Jimmy Neutron.

Well, SpongeBob was good from seasons 1 to 3. The movie was actually intended as a series finale, but Nickelodeon decided to revive the show. I wish they hadn't, though, because I wasn't really a fan of the show anymore after the movie. There was a huge drop in quality, probably because the original show runner retired after season 3 (or so I'm told).

Jimmy Neutron had a pretty good run quality-wise. Unfortunately, it ended after only three or four seasons. That's too bad. It was a great show.

Your never too old to stop watching cartoons (especially spongebob) :)

Truthfully the earlier episodes are better.
