Have you seen The Why of Fry? In the episode, Nibbler is explaining to Fry that he's the most importanat person in the universe, and that they need his help. And while Fry is debating wether or not to return to the future while hiding under the desk in the cryongenics lab, Nibbler asks Fry if theres anyone in the future worth going back for. Fry mentions Leela, and Nibbler mentions about her being 'the other'. He promises Fry that if he goes back into the future, he will help Fry along with Leela.

So, as he knows that the PE crew are going to be going to Vergon 6, where all them doomed animals were, he goes there and poses as a cute semi-unintelligent life form, which Leela then adopts as a pet. Nibbler then becomes part of the family almost, is able to watch over Fry until his time came to save the universe, and could also help him out with Leela. Thus by handing the flower to Fry after they'd just saved the universe in The Why of Fry. Fry walks in the door with the flower, not really remembering how or why he has it in the first place, and hands it to Leela to cheer her up after her disastrous date the the Mayors aid. Leela, touched by this, kisses Fry, and Fry considers this a minor victory  ;)

And Nibbler didn't break his promise. And thats probabaly a slightly roudabout way of explaining why he was on Vergon 6  :)

We know that is how it turned out but how would Nibbler know they go to Vergon 6.  The only thing he knows about the future comes from the prophecy.  Maybe the Nibbloians influenced the Professor to send PE to the plant on the mission of mercy.  Maybe he was stationed there to deposit dark matter.   :laff:

If the crew didn't go to Vergon 6, I'm sure Nibbler could find his way to a planet they were visiting and charm his way into Leela's heart.

Planet Vergon 6 has something to do with the Nibblonians, after all the planet was full of their *ahem*, and was about to explode only because it was mined out. If Nibbler came to Vergon 6 just to meet the PE crew, it would be strange that it happened to be full of their... well, as I said before. *ahem*.

Well Nibbler had been on Vergon 6 for a thousand years (he said he was stationed there in 1999 and was picked up in the year 3000) and dark matter might not be biodegradable.  So he might not have planed to make the plant rich with dark matter it just turned out that way.

An untrue assumption,

I dont think that matters darth. I'm sure there are many big fans of the show who havent either seen those big important episodes (Why of Fry, Day the Earth Stood Stupid, etc) or havent figured it out yet.
