Yep, I have seen amazon women in the mood. I do have to admit she didn't get to sex0r Kif, but I'm pretty sure she will eventually. How predictable.

I can see why she's #2 for you... because there are only two females in the whole planet express crew. :P

And I still think when it comes to the depth of each character, Hermes is light years ahead of her. Heck, even Zoidberg is, and that's is practically a walking crab monster...

It's kinda hard to have a deep character when you haven't been given an episode in which to develop it.

It's like pr0n. You wouldn't understand.

And the theory about the lack of Amy-related episodes is laughable. AFAIK there were two episodes that dealt with her (the amazon women one and the one where she gets in love with fry) and both showcased her as a very simple and shallow (albeit physically nice) girl.

I have to admit that she'd make a great pin-up girl. But nothing more.

About "Amazon Women in the Mood".

She wants to go out on a date with Kif because he is a "sweet guy", the bodything doesn't come into play with Kif. She even pleads Leela for a doubledate, 'cause she knows Kif is to shy to go alone.

When Kif starts reading from the Zappers little black book (the horror) she reacts in disgust. Later when she hears his rendition of "Totally Eclipse of the heart" she melts. She is obviously put of by the blatant sexual lines, but likes the emotional display of a romantic karaoke-song.

She risks her own life to save Kif, a man who moments ago had declared his love for her. And thats even though she knows it was him on the phone for the last 12 months.

She shows resourcefullness (is that a word?) and good wits when she goes to rescue Kif. The plan to get past the amazonians was good (even better than Leelas, and it's no easy for me to admit that  :)).

That doesn't seem shallow to me. I'll admit she was very shallow in the first episodes, but this shows she has matured.

Okay ranting time's over, back to our regular schedule.

He's already Cubert's age. We'll meet him in the 4th-season ep "The Route of All Evil".

Kif is easily the least essential of the cast. Although you couldn't have Brannigan without him.

-edit- aw, crap, I didn't even see Amy on the list, shows how much I care about her. Can I change my vote?

I see her as an aid to making Leela's character seem like more of a loser, in an attempt to give female viewers somebody to relate to, and also she provides the drive for a number of Leela related storylines, so in that sense she is needed.

It kinda bugged me the way Kif was so power crazed in War is the H Word, and the venom in some of his responses to Zapp's jibes. I can see how the writers got there, but it seemed a bit too out of character. He needs to be more beaten down. Yeah, I reasoned it out, I'd lose Kif.

-edit- and everybody who voted for my man hermes needs a good blast of jerk prunes to get their heads out of their asses.

And now Kif has 5 votes!! What's the matter? Kif´'s the best male character of Futurama! He's funny, likable and without him the Zapper would just be a bumbling, braindead idiot.

Uh-uh, over here, over here. I voted for Hermes, and given the choice I'd do it again. Muah-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha...

Amy has interesting interactions with the rest of the crew. Bender steals her stuff, she and Fry go out, she and Leela girltalk/have rivalry. Hermes just picks on Zoidberg and uses his tired "Sweet Animal of Location!" line. Although... "Is there any meat this man can't jerk?" was a classic funny line. And in the Xmas episode he actually acted like a real character, which was good.

Hehe. No. The point is, we're talking about watching futurama, not about whacking off while watching futurama (TWEEK! stop staring at that nekkid chick and pay attention).

It's kinda sad, really. Wasn't Amy supposed to be the smart one (engineer @pe or something like that)? But she has degenerated into something completely different.

No.  She was the intern Farnsy kept around because she had the same blood type.  She's always been the dumb bimbo klutz.  Also, you gotta remember, her parents are buying her degree.

Exactly. And I don't find Kif expendable at all, simply because of the laughs and jokes he provides through his interaction with the Zapper (and the potential I see in his relationship with Amy). In the same vein, I don't find the Zapper expendable for the same reason.

Hermes' on the other hand doesn't have the same kind of potential for jokes/humor. I don't want any of the main characters to be cut, they have to good a group dynamic. But if I HAVE to choose, Hermes would be the first one out the door.

So many Hermes haters out there  ;)
I love Hermes he has some funny lines and comes out when necessary.  He is never hogging the "spotlight" or  wandering around wherever the crew goes.  So I can understand why people could vote for him to leave, becuase he isn't a vital member of PE.  But it wouldn't be the same with out his Potat... um' Jamaican ways around.

I voted for Kif, he isn't even on the crew is he??  O~well I'm not a big Kif fan.

Zoidy's a hilarious character when done right. He's so funny because he's a crustacean in a mammal's world, and his struggle to cope is quite a sight to see. If you want to dumb it down to "People beating on Zoidberg", then go for it. But you'll only scratch the surface of his character.

Yeah. Other characters hating Zoidberg is funny, but he's so much cooler than that. He has hilarious ways of amusing himself, like pretending to be in a big car race, and pretending to ruin your drinking water, and saying "Zoidberg picks up another piece! The crowd goes wild!". What a cool guy.

And who can forget that wonderfull sequence in "The Series has Landed" in which Zoidy is introduced. The whole examination of Fry is still one of my top-5 Zoidy scenes. "Young lady, I'm an expert on humans, now pick a mouth, open it and say: dedededoarith."

His part of "The Deep South" is also a keeper, once again it shows his alien side, and that is when Zoidy is at his best.

I couldn't vote off any of them.  Put Mom up there and I'll vote.

Which raises another question.  I remember the concept of Mom's character being nice and sweet on the outside and a real jerk in private, but by her second appearance they seemed to have dropped that.  In "Mother's Day" she doesn't wear her fat suit and she is mean to everyone out right.  What happened?

Her stooge based sons are cool though...
