It would be a great thing if they had, but Ed O'neil hate FOX with a passion. He woved never to work on one of their shows again. Apparently he can't forgive them for the way they treated MwC, which never got a proper final episode either.

one other question about her anatomy -
is she supposed to be really heavily muscled or something? she makes a reference to her "freakishly large forearms" (don't remember the exact quote" in devil's hands, and in a head in the polls, when clinton comes on to her, ford apologizes, saying "he gets this way around meaty looking women". Trying to imagine what she looks like in person, I get this horrible picture in my head that looks like a cross between polyphemus and one of those "chicks" from american gladiators, only with purple hair.

Well, I dunno about her forearms, which seem quite dainty, but if you check her upper arms, they do seem to be somewhat musculer. She's definatley fit, and quite well built, but doesn't have a body builder's physique, as we've seen when she's wearing a swimsuit or somesuch. I'd say she's built more like a gymnist, or athlete.
She was probably just being self-depricating about her forearms. And obviously, she found a pair that fit quite well. So, in conclusion... yeah.

aren't her proportions always generous? (or at least the way you guys depict her in your fanart haha) but yeah i have seen every episode of MWC probably at least 3 times and her body was drawn to fill out the outfits she wore like the one with the high heels stretch pants and low top. it's funny how that in the first season of MWC peggy (katey segal)'s chest is pretty flat and she can barely fill out a robe, but she was also younger and probably thinner, not that she was ever fat. she must have actually been pregnant in some episodes though...(i mean besides the ones where she is supposed to be pregnant) because she was wearing looser clothing and looked like she wasn't as in shape as other episodes. her voice was lower in the first season as well and she hadn't adopted that tone we all know of from later seasons

Someone's a MwC fan... Leela makes a lot of comments about her own body (huge forearms, hard to find shoes that fit, etc), but what woman doesn't? Especially someone who stands out so much, what with the hair...

Originally posted by futurefreak: yeah, i dont ever recall seeing the episode when they talk about the miscarriage...its like she was in her third trimester of pregnancy, then she was normal again. did i miss that episode or does it just not exist? and what ever happened to Seven... The creators knew they had to eliminate the pregnancy plotline as quickly as possible, so they did an episode in which it's revealed that the entire season up to that point was a dream, and it's never discussed again. As for Seven, he just sort of vanished, and a couple times we see jokes about his absence: in one episode his face is on a milk carton.

I always wished Katey Sagal had been on the BBf2 commentary...I really wanted to know what she thought of the writers/designers' parody of her former character.

It feels funny to post on such a long-dormant thread, but etiquitte is etiquitte. It finally came to me whom Leela resembles physically: Katarina Witt. You know, the purple hair, the one eye; it all makes sense now. Alright, I'm just amusing myself here-
Katarina had (has) a thick, athletic build, but with a nice thin, supple layer of cushioning so she doesn't look like a too-cut bodybuilder. She and Leela are also both blessed with beautiful, ample cleavage that are apparently natural (would Leela get a boob job? now there's a topic for dicussion).
They differ a little however. Leela's shoulders and waist both seem just a bit too narrow given her athleticism, but the waist no doubt is done to give her more of a classic hourglass figure and I suppose the narrow shoulders keep her from looking too butch; plus they go with her narrow head. I'm not complaining about the "wasp waist" build though; it emphasizes the curvy hips (e.g. Groening's "Princess Leela" drawing and the infamous Jurassic Bark "I'm going in" pose).
Rats! I thought analyzing Leela's physique in a sterile, rational way would release her captivating hold on me, but it's not working!

There are probably many over-the-counter pills and potions that would amaze us with what they can do to a human's appearance and proportions in the 31st century.

Femislim is a meal replacement drug which does nothing but spread feminist propaganda. Luckly, Leela realized this once she returned to the future, and is now sticking to much more useful and truthful methods of 'physical nourishment'.
Don't you just love double entendres?

I just noticed how you phrased that, "sensitive about her weight." Being married to a chronic dieter and never having a weight problem myself I've been made keenely aware how differently men and women approach weight control. When I heard that line about the fema-slim it sounded to me like a matter-of-fact, everyday thing, like it was routine for her to skip a meal and substitue some kind of weight control substance. Sure, she's doing it because she wants to maintain her figure but there was no emotion behind it, no "Ooh, I'd really love to have the cheeseburger, fries and ice cream, but gosh, I'd better have the fema-slim instead." Rather, it sounds like she could take it or leave it and it's an easy decision for her. I guess that's one of the things that intrigues me about her; that she's so self-disciplined about things like that which bedevil so many other women. It did surprise me that she used a product like that since she belongs to a gym and walks to work and as I said seems to be so disciplined.

He definitely loves her, that's evident.

No, I want a more disciplined woman, not a Moragn Proctor, but someone with a little drive and independence, perhaps purple hair, one eye... Damn I keep forgetting I won't be a cartoon until I get that lobotomy! Until then Fry can have his chances with her. Seriously, don't you think that Fry finds something appealing about her self control? Opposites attact after all. Oh, and to get this thing back on topic, what best shows off Leela's form, the soft clingy evening gown in Devil's Hands, the curve enhancing lingere in Parasites Lost, the athletic black strappy number in Jurassic, or the everyday black stretch pants and white muscle shirt?
