In Amazon Women in the Mood, Zapp sings Leela (his version of Lola) a song about a transvestite [or is it crossdresser?  I forget].  Either way, this connects back to Love Labor's Lost in Space when he queries, "We are sure its a woman this time?"

Yes I used the word query.  Probably spelling it incorrectly.  If it were earlier than 2 AM here, I might make a bigger effort.  But now I'm posting this and going to bed to see how much I get laughed at.  :p

Hey now, I prefaced my complete and utter failure in the begining of this post.  :p  Though those are both very good points, I had forgotten about his other run ins with...  well people he thought were women (for one reason or another) and weren't.  Good ol' Zapp.

Didn't Billy West mention that in commentary for "War is the H-word"?

John Dimaggio: So what, is Zapp bi?
Other people: Oh come on, don't bring that up, etc.

Therfore, I have no idea.

Zapp could be bi, but he's too obsessed with commanding respect and looking macho that he's afraid to show his true feelings, whatever they are, except unintentionally. He seems rather close to Kif..

This is funny, because I'm actually in the middle of a writing a fan fiction about Zapp doing a gay photo spread.* </shameless plug>

*Note: It is not a slash fan fiction... you sickos

I still think that the fact that the elves from "A Tale Of Two Santa's" are gay, is the funniest gay joke ever on Futurama.

I'm watching this episode right now, the elves aren't gay, they all hold hands in pairs. The two people in the gingerbread house with the kids were holding hands too. Same with the people behind them when they landed on Neptune.

Listen to the commentary for the episode; the Futurama staff would disagree.

I think Zapp will sleep with whatever he can, be it man, woman, or mineral.  IMO, he's not that picky.  After all (huge shock), he slept with Leela, when she's generally considered "unattractive" by society as a whole.  (except for Fry...)

Dude you don't want to do that the last time someone disagreed with the futurama staff that person became a head in a jar.   :nono:

So I'm not allowed to have my own perception of the episode? The staff has theirs, and I have mine. Simple as that.

Oh, you're entitled to have your interpretation of the episode. It's just that theirs is the only one that actually matters.

Seeing as, you know, they were the ones that actually made it.

I always loved it when people would try to tell the artist what he was trying to say with his/her work, especially if the artist meant nothing of the kind.

im going to try and make a compromise, atleast two elves are gay, the ones in the breezy short shorts, but there are also straight elves, the ones with the babies, unless of course they are a-sexual.

I'm pretty sure they're gay too. The elves probably reproduce through artificial means, or give up their gayness for one night ... for the sake of their race.

Yeah, you can't tell ME how elves reproduce!
Guy, the whole point of the joke is the little glance they share and the way one says his line. It OBVIOUSLY implies that they're gay and don't want to tell Leela. We're not saying all elves are gay, but that was the joke.
Now, back to Zapp. Everyone go look at my art topic to see more questionable shenanigans!

Zapp just has far too much testosterone sloshing around his system - he even gets it on with the lip scanner in ATOF.

I think he still thinks Leela is a man. And that would prove the constant question whether he's gay.

Waking up in his bed in the Lovenasium the next morning is a pretty convincing piece of evidence regarding Zapp and Leela's physical "love".

Emotionally love? Never in a million years.

But she said she never loved him physically or emotionally. She just felt pity on him from being a lonely, horny space hero. She was overwelmed with pity.
