If you had to compare the two shows.  Who do u think is more like whom from each show, or their equivilant?  I also respect the arguement that they are complenty different shows with comnplety different characters.  But either Occupations, or Character Staits, some are similar
*(?? indicates not exact match)

Homer      - Fry
Bart       - Bender
Marge      - Lelea
Lisa       - Amy ??*
Maggie     - ??
Mr Burns   - Mom
Lenny/Mole Man/Ralf Wiggum - Dr. Zoidberg
Smithers   - Hermes
Abe'Grandpa' - Professor
Linol Huts   - Hyper Chicken
Moe          - I zac (Titanic ep)
Wiggim/Lue   - Two Cops
Roy  (appears twice only when Homer Voices the new Itchy and Scratchy Character )
            - Scruffy

Let us know what u think, some are surrprisingly similar while others have only some things in common.

Oh, crap. Another one of these threads.

Don't try comparing the characters, you need to work to hard to get them to fit, or to bring in barely-used characters, such as you comparing iZac to Moe (just because they are bartenders, I assume?). They are different shows, and the character comparisons between the two make about as much sense as the comparisons between any other two shows, so why bother? (actually, I am kind of proud of my Futurama-Cheers that I came up with on the Family Guy/Futurama thread, but that's beside the point)

Neil McNeil, I tried to start a thread like this and i was metaphorically booed off the stage. Probably because i made the same comparisons as you.

Yeah thats also somewhat hypocritical.  For 1. I said that 'i respect the arguement that the two shows can't be compared', and
2. Thats Hypocritcal, saying i can't compare two different shows characters, then praise yourself for comparing Futurama - Cheers and Futurama - Family Guy.

So that makes you some kinda hero does it, don't think so mate!

I think Homer is a mixture of both Fry and Bender. Homer have this stupid, childish, sensitive side similar to Fry. Also this rude, beer drinking, low moral, egoistic jerk side similar to Bender.

This thread topic is rapidly approaching Beating a Dead Horse status.
