The Lrr and Ndnd Thred

Looking through all the threads on this messageboard i was suprised thet there wasn't a thread for the Omicronians.
So here it is.

i dont' know why ndnd is so uptight about lrr putting ketchup on everything, hell i do. but not salt, that's bad.

Lrrr and Ndnd are easily 2 of the best characters in the show. You gotta love the way that something always manages to go wrong when Lrrr introduces himself. 

Not to mention their complete lack of knowledge towards Earth and Earthicans, and the fact that the smallest things anger them so much.
"We will raise your planet's temperature for one million degrees a day... for five days!"
"This is ancient Earth's most foolish program! Why doesn't Ross, the largest Friend, simply eat the other 5?!"
"This concept of 'wuv' confuses and infuriates us!!!"

I'm just shocked -SHOCKED- that Lrr didn't disintergrate Ranger Park, the Park Ranger after RP threatened to chop off bigfoots big feet. Lrr's vaporised other things with less provacation. Park has no idea how lucky he is...


That Wuv bit is my fav Omicronian line.    Only truly hilarious bit from that ep, really (well, that and Zoidberg's monologue).

Brian Sheesley: The fun part of this episode was designing the Omicronians.
DXC: Those Omicronians are named Lrrr, L-R-R-R and Ndnd, N-D-N-D. Ken Keeler made those names up, I don't know where those came from.
Ken Keeler: I like consonants.

Yeh the omicronians are 'awesome to the max.'  Ive realised all the episodes they are in are up there with my all time favourite episodes.  Also I think Lrrr is adorable, he does the bad guy thing is such a cute way!  I just wanna hug him while he threatens to eat me.

The cape thing is hilarious, especially in The Problem with Popplers. I also thought Spanish Fry was a hilarious episode, though it's not in my top twenty, I don't understand why people hate it so much. I especially like it when Lrrr is in the adult shopp. "Oh no no, I'm just some guy... Ruler of the planet Omicron Persei 8!"

It annoys me that the captioning on the season 1 DVDs have Lrrr as "Lurr". Way to ruin an awesome name, DVD caption writer guy!  Lrrr and Ndnd are great. Names and characters.

The captioning has a lot of errors, I noticed. For example, in Put Your Head On My Shoulder, when Bender's pimping, for a long time I thought it said "sure baby I know it" because of the captioning, when it is much funnier as "shut up baby I know it.

Lrrr is great with his fascination with old Terran tv-shows. "This is ancient Earth's most foolish show. Why doesn't Ross, the largest of the group, simply not eat the other five."

Lrrr: I filled up on nuts at the negotiations. (Ndnd shakes her head sadly)

Ndnd is by a tiny margin funnier than Lrrr, mostly because of her constant demonstrations of her superiority over her poor husband. But oh, man.. They both kill me. You can't have one without the other and have it still be funny. I want more popplers in the show. Do it! Come on.. I'm going to count to blortch..

Yeah, it became a bit over-done in the end, but the snappy remarks in "Spanish Fry" between the two Omicronians was funny.

Kang and Kodos? Not really any relation between the names, other than the fact that they sound alien. And I believe 'Kang' was a Star Trek character to start with?

I like Lrrr and Ndnd.  They're really funny alien chatacters.  They remind me of Ralph and Alice from The Honeymooners!  Too bad the new episode with them was a letdown.
