Hey,
I'd like to start by saying that you truly haven't watched your futurama DVD's until you've watched them with the audio commentary on, especially with Billy West doing zoidberg the entire time and interjecting "shhh! I'm on screen again". I've noticed something cool about the commentaries; the people doing them make references to the fans on message boards. This I think is the coolest thing because it shows the guys on the top are actually paying attention to us and appreciate our opinions (not that they would sway them one way or another...but it's nice to be heard once in a while). Anyway, if anyone who was involved with the show is reading this; just know that your work always meant and will always mean a lot to each and everyone of us. Rock on.

Sincerely me,
PtPA

I like when they speak in character voices on commentary. Often in cartoons for every voice there is, I often forget there's a real person behind that voice, and the commentaries are sometimes a good reminder of that.

I always either picture "Doug" or Fry as West's voice because Zoidberg, Farnsworth and Zapp are the furthest thing from his normal voice.

Also, I think we can all agree that the most entertaining part of the commentary is DiMaggio's abhorrant laughing in the background...maybe thats cause none of us were there, but I think it's freakin hilarious.

I watch them all with commentary on. My favorite is in 'Luck of the Fryrish' when John Dimaggio tells his Anthony Michael Hall story.

Well, regardless. We still have another DVD set to look forward to, so I think it's safe to say at least two more ways to watch the episodes.

Another excellent thing is the fact that they included those "secret" commenteries for their favorite episodes. They were of excellent quality!

Do they have any of these on the first two DVD sets?

My favourite part of the extras on DVDs 3 + 4 are the two table reads for Xmas Story and TDHAIPT.

If you havent already, I highly suggest the commentary on "the bird bot of ice-catraz". Billy West does Zoidberg the entire time, it's really great to listen to during a sorta sup-par episode.

How's TBBOI subpar? Well maybe it is compared to the rest of Season 3 but it's one great episode!

Is Sarge on any of the DVD's? I doubt it, but that'd be super awesome. What IS Sarge's name, anyway? I want to stalk him look for his name in the credits!  :p

There are extra commentary tracks on 'Roswell that ends well' and 'Jurassic Bark'. To get to them just go to the Language/Audio screen and click on 'More'.

Sarge Morton.

He's not in the commentaries, but look in the credits for the 4ACV episodes and you'll find him in about half of them. One I know he worked on was "Crimes Of The Hot".

@ The Comedy Bee: Sarge is a member of PEEL, who worked for Futurama (only on the 4ACV episodes though) as an animator.

Birdbot is an awesome episode. It has great Zoidberg lines, a member of the Waterfall family, and killer penguins.

True enough, I take back what I said about Birdbot. Saw it again last night and regret calling it sup-par.

Wow, I didnt know that about Sarge either, you learn something every day! - so why did I just waste 5 hours at school?   :)  :p
