Yeah, he did.  I don't think he was ever mentioned on Futurama, though.

also i would say zapp brannigan is the best sci-fi name ever, but it reminds me too much of zapp rowsdower (who's too much of a fat drunken canadian to be sci-fi).

I always enjoyed Madison Cube Garden, don't know if that's sci fi enough to count. Also the "froad" from BWABB Kif Gets Knocked Up a Notch.

Omicron-Persei 8

I'm afraid that you're in for a shock. It exists. It's not a stupid sci-fi name... it's a real place.

Lrrr's species is, however, fictional.

Does Omicron-Persei 7 exist as well?

Omicron-Persei is the name of the star.

Omicron-Persei 7 and Omicron-Persei 8 are names of planets in the system, which may or may not actually exist since we either lack the instrumentation required to scan the star for orbiting planets via gravitational microlensing, or we simply haven't gotten around to it yet.

I was just answering hobbitboy's question, tnuk, not making a nitpickity nitpick of your post. :)

It seemed like he was thinking that Omicron Persei 7 was a separate star, so I figured it was worthwhile to elaborate on the point.
