Good evening folks and folkettes.

For absolutely no reason, I was just going frame by frame through the opening titles, and this guy (See image) jumped out at me. He seems familiar, but I can't recall a time I've ever seen him outside of the titles.

Did he ever have another role in the series, or is he resigned to remain in the tubes forever?

Thanks in advance for any help you may be able to offer.

No, I think he's just a walk-on part...or a whizz-by part if you will. I certainly don't recall him having any major influence on any of the episodes.

Somebody should watch every Futurama ep, and freeze all the crowd scenes. Someone who's not lazy of course...

I suppose that there may be other people like that in the intro sequence although I think if that guy was in a standard crowd shot on Earth, he would stick out just a tad.

the helmet looks like it's from return of the jedi, the rebel outfits on that ewok planet...

is it? my memory's a little fuzzy...

The helmet is very similar to the rebel helmets in Return of the Jedi, but I don't think the clothes are. From memory they wore something that looked a bit like a poncho, shirt, and pants. With camoflauge colours. I'm not sure on that though.

hmm... Maybe it's the g-force?

And I think that the guy looks like a white apu(from the Simpsons) with wide eyes and weird clothes

he doesn't really have a crazy face, it just looks that way cos of that black blow (which I don't know what is...) if you ignore that it looks fine   

All I did in the above image is remove that 'blob'

EDIT: nah, I'm wrong, he does have a crazy face

Or maybe the drawers just didn't have time/were too lazy to put alot of detail in the 2-split-second-tube-characters.
