Out of all of Professor Farnsworth's inventions, which one is your favorite. Mine would be the "What If" Machine.

What about the Finglonger? Or the machine that can turn Bender into a human? He said he built the Planet Express ship. And the killbot... lotsa choices.

It's got to be the 'What If' machine, even though it's not worth the gold it's made of  :laff:

I also love the reverse camera, from Futurama comics #14. Where you get a photo, and then it makes the object from the photo into real life  :)

I think he did invent the finglonger, since it is used in other episodes, he just hadn't by AOI 1.

My favorites are any of his doomsday devices and his nephew detector.

Well if they were in an episode, then they were kinda his inventions, no matter whether they don't exist or not.

And how can we forget the Cool-o-meter? Though my personal faves have to be the F-Ray and the What-If Machine.

This other thread has only been dead for two months.  How quickly we forget.

I agree with Otis, we should start a poll.  But there's way too many inventions for one poll.

Amy and Leela have too many outfits for one poll too, so what do we do? Multiple polls. Hey, what about all the robots he invented from his years working for Mom's Friendly Robot Company? "Things eight feet tall aren't cute! That's why my colossal Tammy Tinkle doll was such a failure!"

While we're on the subject of Farnsworth's inventions, did he actually invent the Netsuits in A Bicyclops Built For Two? I remember a line about burning Rhesus monkey, but I don't remember if he said he invented them or what.

His universal translator.

It can only translate into a comprehensive dead language.
Cubert: "Hello"
Machine: "Bonsuir"

Hmm...a favorite, huh?  I don't usually like to pick favorites with the children I've known for so long.  But if I had to pick one.....let's see..........I'd say that his means of cloning perfection are the best.  As Cubert said, "You're only even half-decent invention was me."  I'm a little rusty on quotes, so I'm not sure.  I can't move the DVD player right now.  Actually, since the show said that Cubert was an invention, I'll say Cubert.  :D

The what-if machine. I liked hw the whole eisode was based around the Profeser watching the what-if machine if he had invented the finglonger. The F-ray was funny because when Bender shone it on Fry it hurt, but then he did it again and he didn't mind. It doesn't sound as funny when you explain it, huh?

And now for my turn at the correct-Kurt plate:

1) While I know what you mean, Farnsie certainly didn't invent the suppository.  That's been around as long as doctors have felt superior to all other human beings.
2) Finglonger
3) The Enlarging Ray made Zoidberg Godzilla-sized.  The atomic supermen grew from infancy to adulthood thanks to those time-altering chronotons.

Sorry.

And for the record, my current favorite invention is the Smelloscope, simply for all the fun ways you can explain away its scientific impossibility.

Good old Nerd-o, keeping the suspects in check.

Invention I'd most like to have: PE Ship.
Most multifunctional invention: The Gizmometer.
Least multifunctional invention: Uncle detector.
Most likely to be found in a "Sharper Image" catalog: Universal jibberish translator.
Most likely to be banned by the Bush Administration: Clone-o-mat.
Most likely to be banned by the Clinton Administration: Doomsday devices.
Most likely to be banned by the Nader Administration: Tie Sport Utility Robots / Nose machine.
Most likely to create an excuse to write nonconformant Futurama story: What-if Machine.
Most likely to be licensed by Hallmark: Albino shouting gorillas.
Worst invention: Cubert.
Most likely to destroy the Universe: The Box.
Most likely to destroy a significant portion of the Universe: Any or all of the  doomsday devices.
Most likely to be destroyed by the Universe: Cubert.
"Handiest" invention: The Finglonger.
