I hate to think of that horrible amphibious Kif making love to such a sweet and beautiful woman.

I like the Kif/Amy relationship, it’s sweet, and it’s one of the few relationships in the show that have really worked out. As for biological compatibility, they are both humanoid and come from planets with apparently similar atmospheres, climates and terrain. It is not all that unlikely that the most highly evolved life form of Amphibios and Earth would of reached forms similar enough to be compatible.

As far what we saw in KGKUAN, itīs unsure if Kifīs people are reproducing this way  - and donīt telling me that they can do that without rep. reason, if they are "using" just skin contacts, Kifīs body isnīt equipmented for this.

i think  the kiff-amy relationship really sucks. Amy is funnier as a slut.

I think the Kif/Amy relationship is both highly amusing and sweet.  Amy is pretty darn funny as a clueless young rich girl in a steady relationship.

Example: her putting on the raw ambergris because she's so excited and then saying "Kiss me, Kif!" is about as heartwarmingly hilarious as anything could be.

I think plenty of humor can be had from her clumsiness, her naivety, her engineering student-cluelessness and foot-in-mouth disease, without resorting to the "all pretty young college girls are bimbos" schitck again. It was okay for a while, but I'm glad they gave it up in favor of the less cliche route.

And a pretty, stacked, rich girl madly in love with a little green amphibious alien nebbish is funny in and of itself.

Re Kif's reproduction...I suspect that his race reproduces in the 'normal' fashion most of the time...otherwise, they wouldn't need the male/female genders they obviously have, and Kif wouldn't be so nervous, embarrassed, eager and scared about sex.  I think the permeable skin thing is just an additional method of mixing genes.  If a race depended only on people falling so deeply in love, it would go extinct rather quickly.

I think the whole skin reproduction thing was just a way to make an episode over him having Leela's genes without having to make him sleep with her.

I like Amy the best when she's a ditzy slut and Kif the best when he's pissed of because of Zapp, the relationship just sucks the funny out of both of them

The reason I think it's bad is because it ruined the two characters' personalities.

In the beginning, Kif was a miserable slave to Zapp, and Amy was a total klutz. But by the end of the series, they were just boring due to the constant mushy love episodes between them...

That's why there weren't a lot of episodes of them.

To me, the Kif/Amy relationship is ok. But it's boring to watch after a while so I guess it is.

To each his own.  I think Kif&Amy are funny and fun.

I do agree they needed to have more of Kif sighing miserably at Zapp, and that is probably better expressed when Amy's not around (when she is, he's too happy to be miserable).  Though even "300 Big Boys," which everyone complains about Kif in, had Kif being forced to point out Zapp's medal and informing the PE crew "He rented it with his tax refund."  So it's not true that he lost his pissiness after he met Amy, it just faded a little into the background.

You can't forget his sarcasm was still really clear in A Taste of Freedom.
