Nah, you got to love his many failed attempts to act like a real doctor.

Dr. Zoidberg (to Fry): "Young lady, I am an expert on humans!"

And his mannerisms. Like referring to himself in the third person to make himself seem more important. "So, now *Zoidberg* is big.  That's more like it!  Who's intimidating who *now*, big city?"

Zoidberg's incompetence is hilarious!

Zoidberg: "I'll have a look but I remind you: I'm an expert on humans, not robots."
Fry: "I'm not Bender. I'm Fry."
Zoidberg: "Really? I thought you were the robot."
Fry: "Nope, human."
Zoidberg: "Alright, alright. Spare me your life story."

Definately Zoidberg's medical expertise.
Zoidberg: Ah, the hypochondriac's back. So, what is it this time?
Fry: Well, my lead pipe hurts a little.
Zoidberg: That's normal. Next patient!

Went with the sea-like traits.  His skuttling, ink squirting and claw like features have provided for many laughs.

I love his failed attempts at being a doctor probably the most. His line "Open your mouth", then Fry opens it, and then says "Guess again!" is class!  laff

It's all good.

[Edit] @Otis> Your mixing to episodes together.

It's supposed to be:
Z: We are going to have a look inside you
[Holds up hose, Fry opens mouth]
Z: Guess again.

You mixed it whit:
Z: Now oppen you mouth and lets have a look at that brain
[Fry opens mouth]
Z: Not that mouth

The first one is from "Parasites lost" and the second one is from "The series has landed"

Gosh, I can't pick!  I love everything that is Zoidberg.  In fact...now it's MY turn to write a love sonnet to a futurama character!:P

How do I love thee, Zoidberg?  Let me count the ways.
I love thee to the depth and witdth and height
Your claws can reach, while in a Claw-Plaque fight.
And the tentacles that warble on your face.
I love your unqualifiedness to do your job,
Your quiet need for edible garbage and small animals.
I love thee in 1AVC06, as you snarf up anchovies,
I love thee in 2AVC12, as you wear that cute little hat with the bow,
I love thee in 3AVC19, as you have your internal organs thrown around.
In all my fits of squealing laughter, whenever you say a funny line,
I love thee like no other bipedal crustacean
With my lost sanity, I love thee more than shrimp salad on toasted bread,
Better than the squishiest seafood of all my life, and as you cause me so much elation,
I shall but love thee better after you've operated on me and declared me dead.

I vote trying to act like a doctor:

"Fry, listen to me.  Just because you think you're a robot, doesn't make you a robot.  I mean, i think I'm a doctor, but that doesn't *make* me a doctor.  These fancy clothes do."

#3.  Originally all the Zoidberg jokes were about him being a crappy doctor.  All the other stuff developed later, but his human anatomy chart is still the funniest thing about him.

All of the above... all the points equally make up a great character.
However, if i had to choose, i'd say other... i love the way Zoidberg eats  big grin

I just love the scene that paraphrases as such (I think it was from The Sting, but not sure):
*pats on the back*
Don't worry, you still have Zoidberg.
*raises claw accusatorily, glares(
YOU ALL STILL HAVE ZOIDBERG!

Gotta go with 'other,' I love when he refers to himself in the third person, like in AOI I and the above, which was actually from Time Keeps On Slippin'.

Him trying to act like he's a doctor, definitely.
