The Anthology of Interest episodes are like The Treehouse of Horror episodes on The Simpsons.

But n-e-ways...I like the idea of having a new female character maybe around the age of 26 or 27.She would get along pretty well with Amy but flirts with Fry(maybe even goes out with Fry)and makes Leela realize that she really does like Fry.And what would be even better is if they got into some kind of fight over Fry.

Using the definition of character a bit more loosely:

 I would like to see a giant formation of seven ships that formed a big face. You'd have two eyeball ships, a nose ship, a mouth ship, two big white glove ships and a bowler hat ship, and they all flew around together trying to keep the shape of a face with hands the whole time.

 Whether it would be an evil fleet the PE crew had to defeat or a creation by the Professor to defeat some sort of outta space mime or something is up to everyone else, but I think it'd be a capital creation.

I thought about this for a while, and I decided an addition that might be fit in and be fun is a smart-ass receptionist (rather like the original Janine in Ghostbusters).  The kind who barely does her job and annoys everyone but ends up more or less in control of the office because of unmatched chutzpah and deadly sarcasm.  And I'd steal a joke from ER by having her eventually help subdue a bad guy (through sheer nerve, by weilding a chair or something) and when someone thanks her, she'd say, "No problem.  Just don't tell my parole officer."

And maybe she could be Neptunian as well (I can see her filing her nails, fixing her makeup, talking on the phone and reading a fashion magazine all at once).  I think there'd be a lot of comic possibilities with a character like that, as well as making all of our heroes' office environment a little more hostile...heh.

Blasphemy!  Futurama is GREAT for having so many characters!  It's not like they all show up every episode, anyway.  What's the difference between Scruffy and, say, Apu?  Why can't he just pop up every now and then to be funny, then vanish again till he's needed?  Why does that make it "too many?"

I don't see why no one has suggested the obvious.  Venus and others have pointed out that an adopted daughter for Leela would arouse her maternal instincts, while others have suggested that another non-human would work well in the show.

But we already have such a character -- Jrrr, the Poppler that Leela saved (and that saved Leela) in TPWP.  Imagine the possibilities if an Omicronian (who happened to be the child of Lrrr and Ndnd) joined the Poppler -- I mean Planet -- Express crew.

How would a being that longed to conquer humans react with the crew?  (Well, besides Bender, I mean.)  Especially one with the instinct to destroy all humans.  (Well, besides Bender, I mean.)  Plus, a young but annoying alien character would give Cubert and Dwight a run for their money in irksomeness.  (Well, besides Bender, I mean.)

I'm not a fan of adding new characters to the show, but you're right, that does sound fun.

I'd think this person's interactions with Bender would be extremely entertaining.

Still, I don't think the show really needs another character.

oh my god this would be funny but you have to think about how you could intergrat this character into episodes. i think the character should be incorporated like scruffy. he was slowly and realisticly introduced in a way seing that he had an arbitrary job. in the back
