sure. her and everyone else too. total bloodbath!
actually what i'd really like to see, but never will since the shows over, would be like a reverse The Sting. Where Leela dies and we get to see Fry fall apart, but leela's spirit is aware and around and sees his reaction and hears him tell her grave all the things he wished he had a chance to tell her while she was alive. And for once in his life he says exactly the right thing that proves to her once and for all exactly what she is to him, so that when she is somehow brought back they get together.

After watching John and Aeryn bite it, seeing that kind of ending again would suck.

....no, wait, I don't.  :(
But I'm still going to answer the topic question!  In fact, I'm going to answer it with a resounding "Nah."

Wow, what a waste of space my reply is.  Maybe I should just stick to lurking.  :o

I'm with Kryten (smacks self for only now realizing the origin of that name)

Been there, done that.

I don't know what should happen, but I can't see dying as being the answer.

No, you'll be dead if any Leela fans see this thread. ;)

That said, I'll be at your house tomorrow.

No, she shouldn't die. Death is a horrible way to end a series.

No, but I wouldn't be upset if her parents bit the big one.
That and the entire storyline about Leela being a mutant.  :puke:

I'd like to see one-eye dying, why not. But think of the rampaging horde of all these mad shippers, destroying there houses, neighbors and themselves, mourning the loss of their beloved mutant baby. Eew, I wouldn't like to see _that_

So, basically, the answer is freak'n' NO.  That'd just be stupid.  Besides, if by some unbelieveable miacle the show came back, there'd be no Leela.  You can't have Futurama without her, dammit!

Checking in. Here's my shotgun. I've got a bunch more back in the truck. Now, where's Teral? He was supposed to bring his grenade launcher.

What do you mean, people can't die in comedy? Haven't you ever seen Blackadder (they die at the end of almost every series)? Or The Young Ones...
(bus plunges over a cliff and lands)
Rik - "Cor, that was close!"
(bus explodes. The end.)

Like those, Futurama is a dark series (and in comparison to, say, the Simpsons), and I wouldn't be surprised if they did all die at the end. I mean, throughout the series they've escaped death on a regular basis! If you're going off the air, do it in style I say.
Hopefully this would be a plunging-into-the-sun kind of death rather than a hacked-to-death-with-chainsaws-by-Zapp kind.
But it would have to be all of them going together, Leela dying on her own would be stupid. On the other hand, it'd ruin any chance of them continuing the series or making a film.

I agree.  Futurama just isn't the same without her.  Also, it is obvious that she really makes futurama memorable.  Today, I asked someone at school if they liked Futurama.  They replied:
"The show with the one eyed woman?"
See?

Regarding the question posed: in the name of all that is good, noble and just in this world, NO!!

When is the lynch mob scheduled to run wild? No need for a grenade launcher, I brought my trusted bat'leth. It's still covered with the blood of the last unfortunate victim.

Hmmm, blood poisoning.  :evillaugh:

NO! that's mean! Leela just got them back, if she lost them again it would completely destroy her. And we've already seen Leela go nuts and essentially try to kill herself. besides, if her parents died i would cry.

Thats the dumbest idea ive ever heard, and my sister is a scientologist. Yeah, what a great way to end a great show. Kill off one of the main characters, why not just fuckin kill off all the main characters of every series. I mean, first Final Fantasy X, now we just start killing people. Yes, thats the perfect ending to anything...

No. The only way that would even work was if the creators wanted this show to be a dramatic tragedy, as that's what usually happens in things like that.  However, I've always seen Futurama as a comedic drama, so the death of Leela would only be a pointless excuse to have something happen to a main character.  They should instead have Leela and Fry get together in the last episode and have a happy ending. I don't like it when they die at the end of Blackadder, actually. Especially at teh end of Series Two. It seems so unneccesary. But I undertsnad what they were trying to do, in fact, did.
