Got to go with Fry, but Bender would be a close second.

Even tho she knows not I exist nor will ever requite my feelings, I remain constant and true--I love Leela and shall stand by her and honor and protect her when and where I can.

My favorite is Bender, but Zapp's a close second; you gotta love any character that can outshatner Shatner.  And, of course, Scruffy.  'Cause "Scruffy loves this company"...

Leela, then Fry. Come to think of it, Leela's the only reason I like Fry.

Have you heard of that show, Futurama?
The only reason I like it is because, I don't know.
It's stupid.

I like the show, but all of the characters are so redundant. If they did more episodes without any characters in it I'd probably like it more.

There should be an entire episode where all it shows is a suicide booth,
then at the end it sheds a single tear.

Hey, it's not like I dislike ALL the characters on Futurama. I like some of the characters and overall, I like the show. And so I watch it. On the other hand I can't stand Family Guy. I hate ALL of the characters on that show, and I hate the show. And I don't watch it. But you know what I WOULD watch? A crossover. I think a crossover between Futurama and Family Guy should totally happen, and that the suicide booth should definitely be involved.   ;)

Family Guy and Futurama should not mix. Stupid shows should stick to cross-overs with other stupid shows and smarter shows (like Futurama) should only cross-over if the writers become desparate. (Unless they do it in the comics which never bothered me, it's not GREAT but it doesn't bother me).

Family Guy is acknowledged as being a TV show in the Futurama Universe. There was an FG calendar shown.

I actually like Family Guy, but I wouldn't want to see a crossover. That'd be shit.

That's what I meant, the two shows are doing fine on their own. Crossing them over would piss off alot of Futurama and FG fans. (Especially the people who only like Futurama or only like Family Guy) I know I'd be pissed off, why ruin a great show like Futurama by doing a cross-over that hardly anyone's going to like or even watch?

I think a crossover between Futurama and any other show would be shit... Although I did like the way they did it in the comics, but still...

Well, maybe just the suicide booth could cross over. And Peter could be first in line.  :flirt:

Actually, I agree, they're hardly comparable - but it'd be cool to see the Futurama crew show up the Griffins for the cardboard characters they are. Also, watching Leela give Peter a kick in the nuts and Nibbler swallow Stewie whole would totally make my day.

I don't get it. Do you really not like the characters or do you just not like Family Guy?

Actually, I like Futurama a lot. And I like most of its characters. Bender gets on my nerves sometimes, but not to the point of my never watching the show again. (BTW I'm aware that I'm in the vast, vast minority in regards to Bender. And I also realize that he's a valuable character and does have his good points. He's just not my fave). OTOH I despise Family Guy. I hate that it's popular, because I'm just that petty. I want Futurama to be MORE popular. But Groening, bless him, isn't inclined to stoop so low as to, say, have Fry lock Leela in the trunk of a car and push the car into a river for a laugh, and so he's unlikely to draw the type of audience FG does. FG needs sensationalism to keep its jaded viewership interested. Futurama by contrast, is clever, witty and has heart. All those qualities are harder to achieve than sensationalism in any work of fiction, and requires more risk. I admire Groening for allowing his characters to grow and feel, along with being iconoclastic and wacky. In some regards, they're the true descendants of the Looney Tunes gang.

I hope I made my point more clearly this time. Anyway, I did the best I could.

So what you're saying is that you don't like Family Guy because the characters haven't got as much depth to them as the characters of Futurama? If so, then yes you made your point more clearly this time.

Although, say what you want about Family Guy and its characters but at least it's not a reality/game show

I suspect that Leela might find it annoying, too, but to me, Fry is a lot of fun when he does it. He's so earnest and focused at those times. It's an interesting contrast to his usual slacker behavior.

True. I never found Fry annoying when he does that, sometimes he's an idiot when he does it but some other times we get episodes like TDHAIP and I never found it annoying in that one. He's still an idiot, but he's a funny idiot unlike the guy who was hitting on me at Sport-check yesterday.

Professor wins my vote. He is a senile (prolly misspelled) old man who also happens to be a genius. Scruffy and bender follow close behind.

The irony is that while you actually spelled 'senile' right, you were then unable to spell 'probably' when you endeavored to preempt criticism of your spelling.
