There is something I appreciate about each character and that's part of what makes Futurama such a wicked awesome show that they need to bring back!!!  Fry is so innocent and childlike, Leela is strong and independent but @ the same time very lonely, Bender is...Bender, and the list goes on and on.  I like them all!!

Agree, those two could have their own spinoff show: "The Adventures of Bender and Fry"

One of the funniest moments involving those two must be the Slurm factory episode, where the Professor gives them the F-ray to put away and warns them not to let it fall into the wrong hands. That mischievous expression on their faces when they get the F-ray is pricless

Oh yeah, I forgot to add my fav character. Even though the collective prescence of them all exceeds any one individual person/mutant/alien/lobster/machine, for the sake of the thread I choose Bender. And like I Dated a Robot mentioned, John Dimaggio perfectly pulls this character, in a way IMO that's never been seen since Dan did it for Homer.

Bender and Fry could easily have a spin-off program and it would work.  Leela is too much a 'straight man' for the rest of the gang for a spin off starring her alone to work.  She needs somebody insane to work with to get over with the audience.

That said, I gotta go with the sexy, one-eyed, purple-haired Amazon as my favorite character.

I like Hermes because of all the hilarious things he says. The writers could write a standup comedy act using Hermes. Also I like any character that Billy West plays, and any character that Maurice Lamarche plays.

My fav alt character is the guy who doesn't look like a guy's who's not lazy.

He has a different job in every episode, and shows up when you don't expect him. Brilliant!

I would have to say Fry, dudes and dudettes. His stupidity can be so wierd at times-
"Hey! Bender's name isn't Bonder!"
-it just makes him all the more lovable

This show is like 'Star Trek', ya know? Three main characters. You like Kirk and McCoy equally, so that leaves... Spock in the lead.

Do the same thing with Futurama, you get Bender in the lead. Then Leela and Fry tie for second place, and an honorable mention goes to Farnsworth.
