Leela, 1 eye, 2 eye

I liked two eye Leela, because I guessed it humanises her and maybe made her feel accepted, but then I thought she wasn't original, and it detracted from her uniqueness.

The picture speaks for itself. Try to picture this same one with two eyes..  Freaky isn't it? Anywho, she looks rather strange with two eyes. Also, I demand this be made into a usable smiley on PEEL.

I vastly prefer Cyclops Leela to "Normal" Leela. It's a matter of being so used to seeing her with one eye.

Horray my avatar's useful. Anyway I stand by my point. If Leela had come into the series as a two eyed, people would've accepted her like that. Then if she'd gottten the surgery we'ds have thought she looks weird and we like the two eyed Leela. Of course that's just my oppinion.

Yes but of cousre if that's how they were when they came into the show we'd think that Universe A would look weird. Okay enough of my opinions. Leela looks  better with one eye

Well in a way it's important part of Leela's character her being an outsider with only one eye. But they (the writers) of course could have achieved that differently (see Zoidberg) so I don't think it matters that much

Leela faces discrimination because of her eye, but she uses that as a crutch to excuse her disposition.  She was picked on mercilessly as a child for being different, and she has carried that into her adult life.  In her eye, if somebody likes her, it's for being her, and if they don't, then they deserve the ass kicking that they get.

We're use to the cyclops Leela - normal 2 eyed Leela just doesn't have the same mythical qualities.  Leela's disposition with 2 eyes would make her a bitch, but cyclops Leela has every right to hold a grudge against the world.

Not even to mention how drastically different her personality would be for not having been pitilessly teased for having one eye.
She wouldn't be the same character, physically, or emotionally.
