It's all about Elzar! He's hella awesome!  Nixon is pretty cool, but he still is Richard Nixon, which is a big black mark against him.

Dude!  I was just watching that show!  But, I had to change it because it was making me too damn humgry.  Maybe Elzar is an Iron Chef in the 31st century.  Possibly they decided the current chefs weren't representing the great range of alien cuisine and added him.  Who knows?
