Hey everyone, can't say why but I just can't get enough Elzar in Futurama (Morbo to, but I'll talk about that later.)

Bender: "But I watch your show! You owe me!"

Elzar: "I owe you nothing. For starters, your antenna is in my crotch. Also, I hate you. And finally, you can't cook for squat."

Bender: "Whahahhaha. What was the first one again?"

Elzar: "I hate you."

Bender: "I thought that was number two!"

Elzar: "I knocked it up a notch. Bam!"

Anyway, does anyone know if he'll be appearing in any future episodes?

I'm sure Elzar's Fine Cuisine will show up a few more times, so I'll rate the chance of seeing Elzar as fair.

@ Teral: Good Point. Last time we saw Elzar in "The Why of Fry".
Well and we know the PE crew is usually just going to Elzar's, so we will see him again.
...
I hope so ...

Elzar:    Hey, look at this crowd. You guys got to try the pasta. It's got a real nice profit margin. Bam! So, special occasion tonight?

Bender:   Oh, Elzar, you'll never guess what's happened.

Elzar:    Bam?

Bender:   I've met the most dynamite ladybot.

Elzar:    Hey, that's terrific. To celebrate, I'm going to stick seven copies of my latest cookbook on your bill.

Bender:   Bless you, sir.

I have always hated the real "chef" on which this character is based.  What's his name again?  Emilio Estevez or something like that.  I hated him because I felt he cheapened cooking.  I do a lot of of cooking myself and I take it very seriously (surprised?).  This guy dumbs it down to the point where it ceases to be an art form and becomes more like a sport.  An illegal bloodsport with lots of betting.  I was so pleased and amazed to see the writers of Futurama take potshots at this worthless phony.  This is yet another of the many, many areas where I connect with this cartoon.  This show was, like, made for me.

By the way, I think Scruffy and Elzar got something going on.      sleep   sleep   sleep

I dig Elzar, he's pretty funny. He's Neptunian after all. I wonder where his little "partner" is, though? The Xmas Neptunians each have a partner, but Elzar doesn't, nor do the Neptunians at the health spa....where did they all go? Oh, PS, cilantro is evil.

I always thought that it actually was Emeril doing his voice uncredited, it turns out from the DVD commentary (or at least that's what they say) that it's John DiMaggio doing it. He does a damn good imitation.

I like Emeril's show, all the stuff I cook from it turns out good.

i think the Xmas neptunians were also freaks in another respect, there was anohter reason other than the greenhouse effect that made them wear those breezy summer shorts.

I think he may show up in a "Fine Dining" scene in "Bender Should Not Be Allowed on TV," and maybe Fry takes Leela out there in "The Devil's Hands..." Looking through the future episodes, that seems to be all I can think of where Elzar would reappear. Anyone else think otherwise?

I don't llike him, after blinding Leela then charging the group for the meal, that is a shot below the belt.  Plus I think his catch line, Lets kick it up a notch, bam, are overused.

That's what I don't like about him. Other than that, he's great. BAM!

Elzar is based on a real chef, Emeril. Him, his show, his restaurant, and the whole BAM! thing.

Elzar is mearly saying BAM! and Kick it up a notch a lot because the writers are trying to emphasize the fact that Emeril says it a lot. I think it's funny every time because I watch the real Emeril show all the time. My favorite Elzar quote is one syllable:

Bender: That's it Elzar, I quit!

Elzar: (From off the screen) 'Kay!

The way it was delivered was perfect!

Of course Elzar would show up again. His restaurant is the only fine cuisine.
