I was wondering if you fine people could tell me as many of Hermes' "green snake in a sugar cane field" analogies as possible. I can only remember one:

"Fry, no! The pressure will crush you like a green snake under a sugar cane truck!"
(The Deep South)

"I'm hungrier than a green snake in a sugar cane field"
(Hell is Other Robots)

There's another one in the ep, something to do with the climbing electricity usage at PE.

That was "I, Roommate" and I thought I heard him talk about the green snake but, he didn't.
Oh, and welcome, Maelin! I hope I'm the first to welcome you.

Hermes: Our electric bill is climbing faster than a green snake up a sugar cane.

If this is turning into a general thread about Hermes's suposed Jamaicaness, I love the way he plays the funeral dirge at Bender's fake funeral in the much-maligned A Pharoah to Remember. It was a stroke of genius to combine his anal accountant character with the laid back Jamaican stereotype. Matt Groening's idea, apparently.

Yes he was originally not going to be Jamiacan, and be called Dexter.

The one in "I Roommate," he doesn't do the green snake quote, but the shocking graph refers to the rising water consumption not electricity.

The Boa one is in A Tale of Two Santas (3ACV03). Close though.

"Sweet giant anteater of Santa Anita! The Professor's been eaten by giant anteaters!"

Sorry, had to finish that one off because it's just so stupid!
