On contrare (or however the hell you spell it), I started watching FUTURAMA the day it first aired, which was about 4 years ago or so.  I just stopped watching it 'cos I had to move.  ;]

I think the two female leads in Futurama correspond to a dichotomy in the male psyche.  Leela is for love and Amy is for lust.  Leela is the type of girl whom you could see marrying and raising a (one-and-a-half-eyed) family and spending your lives together.  In fact, she did marry Fry at one point.  Amy is good for an occasional roll in the hay (which also took place between her and Fry).  Case in point, Amy flipped when she found out that she became a parent.  No more party-boarding for her.  She is cute though.  Too cute, in fact, which is why she had "cuteness reduction" surgery.  She's a shallow hottie.  Leela is more like someone whom you could appreciate for who she is and have a meaningful, lasting relationship.  In either case, Fry has good taste (except for his grandmother blunder).

But the really interesting thing is: how would Hermes react if he found out? He's a bureaucrat, they don't have emotions, or at the very least don't let them dictate their actions. I think Hermes would be quite business´like about the whole deal, citing several paragraphs from the penal code, and suing over exclusive right-infringement.
