I voted for Amy, even though I'm not a big fan of her. Mom scares me too much.

EDIT: A scary TOTP.

Matt also created Leela to be attractive - she's that hot alien chick character you get in many sci-fi shows (I know this pretty much because he said so himself)

- When you find someone attractive you throw out the negative thoughts. I find a girl at school attractive, but there's a problem in the fact that she is quite a bit shorter than me - I no longer care anymore. Same thing with the many Leela lovers - only thing is that being a cyclops probably is quite repulsive so all us attracted to her probably found another part of her character to be attracted to. I'm just saying.

Right, let's get back on topic..>

Oooooh, we Amyholics are soooo burned. Seems like the Leelafans have much in common with Fry--except for the occasional glimpses of dignity, clean underwear, and so on...  :D

In Amy's defence, she did fall for Kif. That's telling something about her. Sure she can be a party girl, date numerous guys and make smartass snideremarks about Leela that would buy her a oneway ticket to the morgue if Leela was just a tad more impulsive.

But in the end she chose the sweet, sensitive, shy Kif, even after seeing how he let's Zapp bully him around. She sticks with him, and defend him, even after his miserable performance at the Wong ranch. This Amy is an alright girl. Ofcourse she's no Leela.      :p

All in all, I wouldn't mind being Kif in this scene:

Edit: Aww, BrainSluggo. Here I am trying to do my darndest to say something nice about Amy, and then you insult us? That's it, I'm editing this post beyond recognition.... bah, I'm too lazy. I need a beer.

Leela and Amy are friends (and the fact that Amy is still alive proves that point  ;)). Leela and The Cute Witch of The North was never friends.

OK Paul, I give up.  Why did you quote me saying "so what?" in response to another of Ben's "one eye" rants?

Maybe, but that's twice now that Leela has killed Amy in her 'what if?' stories.  Would you want to work with someone who fantasizes about killing you?    :nono:

A funny moment with Amy is when she say's there's lots of great places to meet people and the responses are: the federal sex beauro, the saucy puppet show, the rotting carcas of a whale and she say's, errr I'll pick  :laff:

Of course murder being against the law has nothing to do with it...

In Leela's defense, she doesn't--as far as we know--actually fantasize about killing anyone; the "What-If" Machine's vision of The Planet Express Murder Mysteries was third-party speculation, and the death of the Cute Witch of the North occured in a dream. If she does fantasize about killing anyone, Alkazar probably goes into the cannon first, then Zapp. (Zapp's just a creep. Alkazar viciously exploited her hopes of finding her race to lure her into marriage.) On the other hand, I can think of several more efficient ways to have disabled the rest of the crew's microbots in Parasites Lost; was Leela working out some frustrations while saving Fry's worms?

I'd love to think that fear of legal problems isn't the only thing that prevents Leela from going "impulsive". Besides she proved in AOI I that she can get away with murder.

I think Leela is the character in the show I would date given the chance. She plays the drums, can do acturan kung-fu and drives an intergalactic spaceship. What more do you want?

I guess I could grow to like Amy more too but frankly she rarely does anything of importance in any episodes. The only Amy heavy episodes that come to mind are The Series Has Landed, A Flight To Remember, Put Your Head On My Shoulder and Where the Buggalo Roam (there may be others). I liked her a lot in PYHOMS though. I think we got to learn more about her. Oh heck, I  all the laydeez from Futurama. They're not jerks like everyone in the real world.

How does Fry get all those girls though??!? He has dated: Leela (sort of - A Flight to Remember), the girl from the 21st Century (LLLIS), Michelle twice (SP3000 and Cryonic Woman), Amy twice (A Flight to Remember & PYHOMS), the scary crustacean from WMIBACIL, Morgan from HHRHGB and I'm sure I have forgotten some.

Oh and getting back on topic. I vote for Amy cos Mom always gets censored off British TV  :p

Why do people find it so hard to believe that some people might actually like Mom, she's a character obviously, so therefore people are going to like her. I personally feel that Mom has a stronger more distinctive character, granted she wasn't in as many episodes but lets face it, she's the sort of character you don't forget, not after 'mothers day'. I like Amy, but i don't think she has very funny lines, where as Moms crack me up every time, i just love the fact that she is so bittter and violent, a strong female character is always a good thing, because there's not enough of them.
