LaBarbara is my favorite minor character on the show. From the main cast, it would be Fry. He is the main character after all.

Leela's my favorite. I know many don't like her, but I find her relatable, sympathetic, and very funny, just in a less noticeable way in comparison to some of the others' more in-your-face humor.
Bender and Fry tie for second. I love Bender's abrasiveness and the soft side that shows once in a while, and Fry's child-like spirit is endearing and hilarious.
For side-characters, my favorites are Zapp and Zoidberg.

I was just watching "Insane in the Mainframe" and I remembered how much I love Roberto. Truly a fantastic character that needs to be in more episodes.

Agreed, but as long as they don't kill him.

They won't kill him. In commentary for IITMF they said that they made sure they kept him alive for future episodes.

Unless you meant "overuse" when you said kill, in which case, I agree.

Man, 2011 me was totally oblivious to the future.

I must say:
I do not favor a specific character per se, but rather the way (s)he is used:

E.g. the new "whiny self-pitying man child" Fry moments are mostly rather pointless to me.
On the other hand, early "This is even dumb by MY standards" Fry made some of the most hilarious scenes in the series.

If I had too pick a favorite itd be Fry for sure. Hes alot like me. Not the stupidness but his joking style no luck with ladies eventhough he is a very kind hearted man and his love and quest too do all the things he wanted too do or dreamed of doing in outer space before he was frozen for a thousand years. If I could be frozen till the year 3000 I'd be all over it with no second guesses or any problems at all!! Stupid I know but it's the truth!!!!

I'm going with Fry, he's good.
Protagonist of the series, he's funny.
Bender, Zoidberg and Leela are alright.
I just can't stand Amy though..

Of the main characters, I'd probably rank them...

1) Zoidberg
2) The Professor
3) Bender
4) Fry
5) Leela
6) Hermes
7) Amy

Bender and Fry may CHANGE PLACES(!) occasionally as the robot can sometime be grating, but he is hilarious in episodes that don't focus on him as a main character.
