He's the guy that replaced James Doohan who played Scotty in Star Trek.

Welshy was killed by Melllvar (note the red uniform), and was brutally overkilled about 3 times.

I think Welshy's was great, and Fry's reaction even though he barely knew who Welshy was  also in AO1 when they were in the Acusing Parlour and everyone was on the sword. Finally, even though it was just something Fry made up, but Fry's Death in 'The day the Earth Stood Stupid', that was pretty gruesome
