Fry and Cubert

I'm sorry if anyone has covered this.
P.S.
I checked a few pages for it.
Do they ever show  Phillip J. Fry of Hovering Squid World 97A or do they just refer to him.
Because I think it should show them meeting in an episode and joining up to do something.
Also why is is it that Cubert  ( I think thats his name) Farnsworth is one of the main characters in some episodes (The Route Of All Evil) but in pretty much all the others he is nowhere to be found. Doesn't he live at Planet Express?

No, they only reference PJF of 79A.  Cubert is a secondary character that sometimes features a primary role in some episodes.  I assume that yes, he does live at Planet Express but it would probably be a waste of precious screen time for him to have lines if it doesn't directly pertain to the story.

Also, "The Route of All Evil" states that Cubert and Dwight were at boarding school, which would conveniently explain their long absences.
