Best: Al Gore, he can do voice acting impressively where I can't, so unfair!
Worst: Pauly Shore, I don't know who he is but oh, I feel like killing him.

Al Gore was okay, but I like Dan Castellinetta's (sp?) role as robot devil the most. Coincidentally, my least favorite guest was also from The Simpsons; Hank Azaria's performance as Harold Zoid was horrendous!

I liked Azaria's performance as Harold Zoid - it was the high point of a mediocre episode. I know he basically used the same voice he does for the Crazy Old Jewish Guy on the Simpsons, but it fitted. Dan ruled, though.

yeah, I agree that the voice fit the part of Harold Zoid. I thought he did a nice job, although it didn't help out Lobstertainment unfortunately  :hmpf:

Rossane really irrated me. And she I think she ended a good episode in a bad way.

I hate her voice, and the excuse for why she was in "300 big ones" in the first place.

Best guest voices: Leonard Nimoy ("Oh, I don't do *that* anymore" ), Al Gore (though it helps if your daughter is a staff writer on the show  :D), Dan the Man (really came into his own in his two episodes).

Worst: Pauly Shore (I'd heard of the guy though had never seen his films, and my worst fears were confirmed - can't stand him at all), Roseanne Barr (bloated and wasted... and her appearance in the otherwise taut episode wasn't too hot either  :D).

As much as I love Mr. Gore's deadpan yelling (see below) I'm going to have to cast my fav vote for Mr. Castellanetta.  I'm also going to have to misspell his name since I don't feel like looking it up.  Anyhow, I can't resist a musical episode, and he was the star of the two greatest ones.

Worst?  Definitely Roseanne and her precious hamburgers   :puke:

Best: Beck and Al Gore (both appearances).
Worst: Lucy Liu. Not that I hate her. I just think that the episode she was in had better potential with anyone but her.

I am actually surprise that Lisa Liu is selected for many lead roles in a lot of the movies made in the US.  For me she is not pretty at all.  Other Chinese actors like Ming-na Wen, Gong Li, Maggie Cheung are all better looking than her.  I really don't see why she is voted the sexiest women in some magazine futurama suggested.  Hmm did they made that up or is it for real?

I don't have a fav guest star on futurama, I like the show mainly because of the major and minor characters. In particular, the relationship of the story line evolves around them. Lastly I find the show enlightening to watch it and gives me a good laugh.

Dan Castellinetta was my fav.
Worst was Pauly Shore, he is just damn right annoying.

I didn't know who the fembot was up until a few minutes ago, I knew I recognized her voice from somewhere (Golden Girls).

The best thing about Futurama, is that most of the guest stars are actually incorporated into the story.  They aren't just there to be a guest star in an episode, they actually have parts, and in some cases (like John Goodman or Coolio for example) play new characters.  I think I can agree with most people here on who their favorite and not-so favorite guest stars were.

Of those other three actresses Gong Li hasn't actually made it in the US really, and the other two generally have taken different career paths. Lucy Liu is prominently like that "dragon lady" stereotype and her roles are just more prominent. Plus Ming-Na has gotten stuck with worse leading roles (Street Fighter, and of her animated voice over stuff only Mulan) while Maggie Cheung has so far only been an indie actress. As for Liu, I think actually was one of People's 50 Most Beautiful people but not "woman of the year" as the writers suggested and certainly not 2063... Yet.

And I have no issue with her performance, and really don't understand why they claim that the actors (like Beck) took over the episode. (No one said that about Hank Aaron so far...) The writers generally seem to have a storyline planned and then somehow luck out and get big names willing to play themselves since I think there's a chance they would have gone ahead with the story anyways. Considering that veto power that some stars have I think it's interesting that Beck and Lucy can do that self-depricating humor... Not sure if either of them are "the best" but I think the robot stuff Liu said was great, and as Cohen pointed out, Beck can do a cartoon whisper...

That said, I still think Pauly Shore was the worst. Yes he was willing to make fun of himself, but the self that he is is just bad...

Best: Sigorney Weaver. That episode was great, and she really went over the top which works much better for animation than going for something subdued. Like even though "you could smell the ham" she still managed to give some character to the ship despite how it's been in every other episode as nothing but transportation.

edit: Wow. Long... Still not gonna edit it down though.

There is an episode where ‘The Simpsons’ appeared in South Park, quite funny. I am thinking, how about South Park characters appear in 'futurama' for fun?

The best guest stars:

John Goodman as the Robot Santa
Roseanne as the holographic image
(Sorry, people.  I happened to like 300 Big Boys!)

The Worst were:

Coolio as Kwanzaa Bot
Liked the episode and Kwanzaa Bot, not the guest star.
Dan Castellenta as the Robot Devil

I found it amusing that Roseanne's appearance seemed so arbitrary. Why is she our guide to the world of facts? Who cares? It was funny.
