Oh, jeez, enough with the newbie bashing. Yes, Future Shock has made his fair share of annoying posts, but it seems as if he's trying to rectify the situation now. He's still kind of frustrating at points, but at least he's earnestly trying to stop with all the pointless spamming.
Leelasbluehair is just, um, out-of-touch with reality. And possibly retarded. But the goading isn't going to do any good.
And Fry_lover is only 11, so it'd probably be nice if we cut her some slack. At least she starts threads in the proper boards, tries to remain on-topic, and has a genuine interest in discussing the show.
(Wow...I think I just became defender of the n00bs. Do I get a cape?)

Okay, screw defending the newbies. Leelasbluehair, you can't possibly be a real person. And if you are, then I agree with suss's diagnosis that you are, in fact, insane. So good luck with that.
*Re-dons (is that a word? I think not) the cape and crown*

Yes, stay Defender of the n00Bs, but he can't be insane. If we're supposed to think logically, his goal is to not get any friends, but I don't know why anyone would want to do that. Maybe he's not very social and he likes to think that he can write illogical things like I'm married to a cartoon character and he won't get backstabbing in return (backstabbing just a metaphor.) There were some news articles about a man marrying an inflatable cartoon character, and becoming boyfriend with a female in a comic, but one of his previous comments stated "Once I cheated on her and she kicked my ass so much I nearly went blind" which could not have been done when one is twi-dimensional and the other is three-dimensional. So, logically Gorky, I guess he is insane. Well, maybe just inane.

I think it's more likely that half the time Fry makes himself seem stupid so that people around him have less problems interacting with him. Remember, most people feel awkward and envious and useless when occupying the same space as someone with a vastly superior intellect. The other half the time Fry is vomiting out pieces of thoughts that are racing through his brain. He's probably processing three million times the amount of information that most people do in one twenty-third of the amount of time by my calculations. So, when he's conversing with others, or playing a part on Who Dares to Be a Millionaire, the little bits that come out seem grossly retarded.
Also note that with that last example... Fry has no desire to be a millionaire. Through out the series he makes and loses more money than most of the human population combined; he does this on several occasions and very deliberately. For example, in the episode a Fishful of Dollars, note how he goes about getting the money out of his bank account. He already knew exactly how much was in it because he knew the interest rate, how much he had left in there, and how long it had appreciated interest; when he faints, he does so just to impress his friends with his "new" found wealth. Furthermore, during the course of that episode he wastes his entire fortune on general mementos from his old life, and most of it on something that he wanted to share with his friends; he spent 1 kajillion dollars just so his friends could enjoy anchovies... because he doesn't care about the worth of imaginary money.
To backtrace one last time. On Who Dares to be a Millionaire... Fry's final response to the question "What do you hammer a nail in with?" is less of a literal answer and more of a philosophical contemplation on the nature of tools and our interaction with them. He then spends the entirety of that episode pondering on the nature of the answer he posited, going so far as to even use it in a death-defying stunt to save life. Furthermore, note that he was not afraid in the final scene of that episode. Why is this? He'd already extrapolated all of the variables related to the death machine, and knew that he could prove that he could stop the death machine by HAMMERING IN A NAIL....WITH A NAIL.
Kind of makes you think.... about what our true purposes and natures lie.

Wow, where were you when I was doing that stuff ten years ago? Oh right, I knew you the Now you lost me. If he is not human what is he? His own sentient being? Luckily parts matched up with his grandma though to procreate. Both his parents were human though. Unless you're trying to get at a Holy Family thing or something.
