I voted for Old Man just because he got many many classic lines. You can crush me but you can't crush my spirit

Oww my spirit!
Very multi-dimensional character.
War veteran injured in battle(too many times)
Bigamist
Satan Worshipper

I know the writers made him this way for a point:to show that would be patriotic and still believe in freedom of expression.

BTW when Hutch mentioned the Dark Ones would crush you like a "blood pumpkin".What in the deuce is a blood pumpkin?

Bianca should make more threads. Not about Futrurama, just in general.

I assumed that the pumpkin reference was figurative while he was being literal about the blood, hence a "blood pumpkin" is something filled with blood that the Dark Ones could crush as easily as a pumpkin (i.e., a human), c.f. Bender's usage of "meatbag".

I thought she broke up with you months ago.   It's time to get over it & move on, books; holding on is not healthy...   :p

Free Waterfall Jr. for me as well.  Love him trying to lead the crowd in some swaying ("c'mon people, I said do it!"), then getting eaten by Lrrrr.  Great stuff.

It might be a riff on a blood orange.  There used to be a phrase "I'll crush you like a blood orange", because when squished a blood orange spews red juice.

I can't say I'd ever heard of them before or heard of that saying but it seems a reasonable explanation.

I think they look somewhat disturbing, actually.

I gotta go with Old Man Waterfall.  His courtroom strategy was fantastic!

"Oh, land-o-Goshen! Your Honours, I'm not some slick, big-city lawyer like my opponent here..."

"You see this hand of mine?"
"Yes, I do."
"No you don't, 'cause I lost my real hand plantin' the flag when we took back Halley's Comet!"

Him and Hyperchicken are the two best lawyers ever, and it's funny how both of them have used the "I'm just a simple lawyer" routine.

Completely stolen from Matlock.  But you're right, it's still funny.

As long as it isn't that Frida Waterfall chick, it's all good. That character just annoyed me more than anything else. :/

Hutch seemed like the most sane waterfall than the rest and he could hear voices in his head.

Hutch was the best out of them, but I have to say Old Man Waterfall did make me laugh as well.

Frida just grated on my nerves... with the constant shushing people, I know it's just a cartoon but it bugged me quite a bit. However her death was pretty good...

Sorry to bump this thread... but I had to vote for Old Man Waterfall... he was the funniest, as mentioned with his line about not breaking his spirit "argh... my spirit!"

Although Hutch is pretty good also... I particularly like his line "It's better than good, it's BETTER!"
